How about a foreign country like China or Russia sent a bunch of engineers to the US over a span of years, and they’ve been building a fleet of these things under cover of legitimate businesses in warehouses. Now they’re taking off from US soil not having to worry about how to get there….

This isn't a crazy idea. Maybe they just crossed through the southern border.

My default hypothesis is that a foreign country is fucking with the US to test response by the US. The fiasco of the balloons drifting and then the multiple shootings made us look retarded. China/Russia/Iran were probably laughing their asses off.

The cartels were already using drones last year, I wouldn't be surprised if some of this is cargo drones being used to move products, but I can't confirm

I'm sure they use drones but that doesn't track in this case for lots of reasons man. First of all, they're not turning their lights off. They're just running them ON which is no way what you would do if you were moving a lilegal product.

Also, they're running what seems to be search patterns over the terrain that you would use if you were scanning with lydar or something. And also sometimes 20 or 30 or even 50 confirmed drones are seen flying together and that's not how you would do it if you're trying to move drugs secretly.

If this operation is supposed to be secret, they're obviously doing a terrible job at keeping it secret. Lights on, moving in large groups, having journalists and politicians ask questions about you on tv, etc. Could this be a government operation and they're just fucking incompetent?

The theory that these drones are searching for WMDs or something is a bit weird for me too. The government doesn't want to cause panic sure, but what they're doing doesn't seem to be much better. Why would they say they don't know what they are then? If you're pressed for time to search for something, why would you only do it at night?

I saw a couple of those but they seem to be CGI, bullets don’t glow in the dark like that.
I mean tracer rounds do but who the fuck has tracer rounds.

I wouldn’t recommend anyone trying it, it is a federal crime to shoot any craft in FAA regulated airspace which is typically above 83ft, even if it’s above your property. Private airspace is below 83ft.
Plus you probably won’t do anything to it.
