I would give Topuria immediate LW title shot. That's one of the biggest fights the UFC could make, why take a chance of screwing it up with a tune-up fight?

Yeah Armaan is the best LW not named Islam Makachev. Oliviera isn't a tune up either but I think Ilia wins. However, it's hard to imagine Ilia being favorite against Arman.

Exactly my point. There are no tune up fights at the top of the LW division. That is why I said he should get an immediate title shot. Topuria is a hot commodity right now, so take advantage of it while you can. I wanted to see Gaethje get another title shot, he was next in line. Instead he took a fight with Max Holloway, and guess what, there went his title shot!

Only issue I had with Topuria fighting Islam off the bat was that he was still FW champion, so you could say he wouldn't be as big as he could be if Islam beat him. Now with him committed to moving up, the "FW" argument is moot, Topuria's fought at LW before anyways.

It's hard to top KOing Volk and Max back to back, you could say that basically proves what he'd do standing with Gaethje or Poirier. He should probably get one of those guys to earn a shot, but if Arman is a question mark there is no one else.

Conor fought the 155 champion. It was supposed to be RDA, but he got hurt. By the time Conor avenged the loss to Nate it was Alvarez with the belt.
