My Poker Goals

Being a CPA and well versed in statistics I can tell you what I experienced two days ago was far from luck. I had 6 different all in's on different table as the last 2 or 3 in a SnG and I was 72% plus in all of them either pre flop or post flop and lost them all.

Variance and bad players will equal lots of suck outs.

You can't be convinced that the players at the tables are controlling the RNG's to determine cards can you? If so, how would you explain my progress on the site? (No E-brag)

It's wierd that each player has a generic "player" title. I know suck outs happen all the time and there are a lot of Phil Helmuth types that do the why me but mathamatically what happened to me is pretty far out there.

Wouldn't be too hard for the site to have a design like this. The suck outs were when very few were left at the table and two major sites were exposed in the past. Also doesn't help that very few players are left and all of a sudden after I'm the first to join a table it fills up in a second...

When you play enough hands, there will be sessions where you'll lose every single all in.
A couple of months ago I was playing zoom and I went I think 0/11 in flips, got it in as a 4 to 1 and 5 to 1 favourite a bunch of times and I literally lost them all.
But that doesn't matter. If you have a healthy bankroll and you make +EV decisions, you'll do well.

At low stakes SNGs, the tables fill very quickly with regs and some fish.
Waiting for specific players to start a table only happens at the mid stakes + cash games.

You'll have 2 people sitting out, one fish joins and 2 minutes later there's a waitlist of 15.
And all of a sudden they're gone when the fish has left.

The generic title/anonymous names at the table was to attract recreational players. The two big factors it eliminates are:

1) bum hunting - stronger players following weaker players to exploit them.
2) HUDs - heads up displays, the stats programs that keep track of hand histories you have vs the players at your tables.

With these 2 factors it would be less intimidating for a less serious player.

Alright guys, the original post has been updated. The progress report has been updated with my current bankroll, knowledge, and final thoughts. Let me know what you think.

Your bankroll management is a bit nitty IMO. But if you are overrolled you are less likely to tilt IMO.

all i know is I put my money in a 98% favourite and still manage a way to lose!

I have been trying to find the perfect definition for bankroll management, how many buy-ins, for what games, and etc.

I've come to the final thoughts that:

1) It's really situation based for your goals.

2) Most people play with too low of a bankroll. So when downswings happen they cannot recover or get discouraged and donk off their entire roll via chasing losses.

I haven't signed up yet. I may get a chance to tonight or possibly tomorrow.

I'm playing in a 5k Guarunteed MTT right now. I bought into it using only the poker points I've made from grinding 25NL.
