Seriously, he's very literate and knowledgeable but he lacks social skills. He can talk about movies all day long, naming all the movies where a certain actor appeared. He can memorize movies by year or by genre and trace the lineage of people involved in the movie production.

Granted, those skills are pretty useless in day to day life but he's far from a retard.
 
It was an obvious mishandling of money. There's no way a construction worker should be spending that kind of money on memorabilia. I'd bet he has almost no savings and consistently blows his money on crap.
 
I think your cousin is hilarious. Let him do his thing. I respect that much more than someone that tries to fit a specific mold.

That's exactly it. He doesn't have much savings: as far as I know, he spends all his money on movies and memorabilia. He's been doing that for years now: it's more than a hobby, it's fanaticism.

In the end, it's his money and he works hard for it so I have nothing to say about it. It sure makes a cool story to tell!
 
I have spent so far about $3000 in 6 months on limited edition Lego sets lol. If you have the money, I say enjoy and buy what you want!

Well, he's a movie fanatic whose fav movies are the BTTF trilogy, and just donated $6,800 to charity, so I can't hate on him. However, I would advise you to shave his head the next time he passes out drunk. Also, you should constantly harass him about his defective shoes not being self-lacing.
