Limelight My big stupid hype trains thread.

UAE Warriors' last event was a bit meh
Amru Magomedov's opponent missed weight, and the fight didn't happen
Muhidin Abubakar and Asaf Chopurov won their fights, but they didn't look exciting
Abdul Hussein won in the first round. A fight with Chopurov (if Chopurov doesn't join the UFC) could be interesting
Fighting Nerds went 0-2
In Brave Lithuania, Dailidko (part of Aspinall's big HW team) won in the 1st round by KO against an out-of-shape journeyman. I don't understand why the UFC is not signing him, but it has signed a bunch of mediocre HWs

Amru Magomedov and Pavel Andrusca fights falling through in that UAE card were really disappointing. Asaf Chopurov looked incredibly boring but he beat a very legit, very experienced 15-3 guy while hes like an 8-0 23 year old. Ullubiy Amirzhanov looked amazon, he hit that buggy choke so quick and his opponent went out fast....Ullubiy is must watch TV.

Abdullo Khodzhaev won but also looked kinda bad, think that kid is a flop.

Don't forget Ullubiy Amirzhanov. He was the highlight of the event. Pulled off an insane buggy choke and continues to finish his opponents effortlessly. Don't think he's quite ready to face Chopurov yet but that's a fight I really want to see in the future.

They should both be working on getting their visas (if they dont have them) and looking to land a fight in LFA or CFFC, to stay more active and land on the contender series. Definitely should not fight each other...at this point Chopurov resume is insane good he just gets to get an exciting finish or two vs some American bums in the US.

I think Dailidko is because of his contract with Brave, think he's got 1 fight left on it now.

I do wonder if he wins that one, if the UFC get him in - 34 isn't young, but not terribly old either for HW.

I reckon they will cuz it's HW and he's Aspinall's boy. They got Delija who is 35 and wasn't exactly coming in with ton of momentum due to the embarrassing loss to Moldavsky.

Nice card for CFFC 149 with 4 title fights
Indonesian on Indonesian crime with Bilal Hasan (no idea why he's not in the UFC yet) against Renaldy Manse
Cafaro has beaten Dilemme (good 6-0 prospect) to get the belt, but his record isn't that good (13-6)
I think Emily Martins might interest the UFC, and the Strickland-Colvington crowd
Brown vs Gokashvili is a fight between a vet and a 4-0 prospect at MW

Amru Magomedov (9-0) has signed with PFL .

Arthur Ventura looks promising. Don't think he's on anyone's radar, but he's 4-0 in Jungle Fight with all finishes including a brutal flying knee KO in his last fight in 47 seconds and he's only 19-years-old. He currently trains with the Bonfim Brothers. Hard to say how good he will actually be as he's still getting started, but if he pans out, I'll come back and post "I knew about Arthur Ventura before any of you knew" like @HuskySamoan whenever someone mentions Shaidullaev.

Yeah I had him on my list of people I was thinking of checking out when I browsed tap for fights this weekend. Mostly quick finishes too. Hasn't fought anyone but like you say only 19

There was an 18 year old kid who looked good in LFA too. Delton Kaufman. Serious credentials and looks like he backs them up.

Send these fucking really talented Brazilian kids to train with their Judo Olympic teams and on pilgrimage trips to the US to work wrestling. They turn into these exposure flop artists who "believe in their jiujitsu" almost everyone time. Its just this retardation in their development.

Brave: Mokaev KOed an Irish prospect, Guseinov is stacking 1st round wins against mid fighters with a big KO, Gitinov is 6-0 against low competition

CFFC: Guarascio losing again by KO after DWCS
Fury FC: Dilano Taylor (13-5 WW, most losses to good PFL fighters) has stopped Israilov (6-1 prospect) by R1 sub (after getting knocked down)
Faber's promotion: Ethyn Ewing getting the BW belt by KO (8-2, lost to too experienced guys early on)

Hexagone: Novenyi and Letho won their fights. They will be part of a 100k MW tournament with Bouafia (DWCS) and a 4th guy
Alash Pride is developing a HW, Khatayev (ex-IMMAF Kazakh), who is now 4-0 by beating a Brazilian journeyman, again by submission
Octagon: Farida Abdueva keeps her SW belt (6-1 21 yo) by R1 KO

Tapology has Guarascio submitting in the 2nd round to a keylock, but yeah, terrible look against a 7-4 nobody.

Cage Warriors: Solomon Simon (7-0, 7 finishes) is now FW champ, beating a Brazilian fighter who came on short notice

Jordan Vucenic UDed 21 yo 6-0 LW Torpal Merjoev
Flyweight prospect Jawany Scott submitted Lupoli by RNC. He's now 8-2 (2 SD losses)

UAE Warriors: Michele Oliveira (6-1 WFLW) has upset Lany Silva (7-3) by SD
21 yo Azerbaijani BW Osmanli (12-1) submitted undefeated fighter Bakhtovar Yunusov (12-1-1) by guillotine

At WW, Basir Saraliev (11-1) and Shamidkhan Magomedov (11-1 TUF Alum) have both won their fights by R1 KO. Good WWs seem to avoid fighting each other at UAE Warriors

Daniyalbekov got disqualified vs Alimagomedov by spamming elbows on the back of the head

LFA 222: Artem Belakh won the BW belt vs Vinicius Pires. Both guys are 11-2, and it's a bit of a surprise. Maybe Vinicius was perturbed by the possibility of jumping into the UFC on short notice
Ansar Khamzaev (20 yo LW) is 5-0, winning by TKO in less than a minute

Eternal MMA: George Mangos (DWCS 2025 loser) won by R1 KO and is now 8-1 at 22 yo

Zombie Fight Night: Nabi Nabiev (22 yo 6-0 FW) won by armbar in 15 seconds

ONE FC: Tye Ruotolo is 2-0, winning by RNC

Gabriel Lourenço (Brazilian Chute Boxe HW) is now 7-1 by stacking wins in random South Brazil promotions. I will not be surprised to see him get the LFA Brazil test

Mehemmedeli Osmanli

Country - Azerbaijan
Weight Class - Bantamweight
Age : 21
Promotion - UAE Warriors
Team - Zabit Samedov Fight Club
Record : 12-1

Fuck it I've been inspired to do a couple of posts by guys this weekend and it's about time I gave Osmanli his flowers.

I've been impressed with him before and we've mentioned him but he's never quite had that performance which made me want to make a post for him but that changed when he took what was a pretty nuts fight against fellow undefeated prospect Bakhtovar Yunusov and made it look pretty easy.

Osmanli is always making guys work. Even if they take him down he's working to change position, to get back up and it just looks very tiring. Once he's back up he'll be straight on guys with a kind of Diaz brothers volume based style of striking where he's not throwing individual shots that hard but he's throwing a shitload of them.

He'll also be mixing flashier shit in too and it seems to get harder and harder for opponents to deal with the more tired they get. If he wants he's got offensive wrestling chops too which he tends to use more just to tire guys out even more.

Also I think he might be dating Liana Jojua and if that's true the dude is just winning at life in general.
