My big stupid hype trains thread.

Blazo Nikolic 5-0 today defeats Fabien Xabidi by unanimous decision.

No , don't be sad. We love you, but let me be a dick too. How is Amru Magomedov not on the list? And Habirora? Didn't he lose to Ioan Harris? Where's Salamat Isbulaev? Ephoeviga? Jay Jay Wilson isn't the guy. Christian Lee is under 30 by the way? I'd say stay away from Bellator/PFL guys too It dilutes the contribution.

I agree with you about Lee and Amru... Isbulaev and Ephoeviga doesn't have any notable win when I made this list. Habirora has room for progress, seems like best athlete of all young prospects.

Ephoeviga beat Emmanuel Sanchez and Yuhi Fujinami, probably better wins than anything Habirora has done honestly..isbulaev has a far better amateur career and beat a similar level of opponents pro so far, is more active too. Same for Ioan Harris basically (though Harris might lose to the 22yo Dagestani he's facing this month) Also was Bojkovic not on your list? That's madness. Damian Rzepecki deserves a nod over multiple dudes on your list too and he's only 23. Albert Gukov? Kade Ruotolo? Juan Pablo Viera? Parnasse and Keita to me, their potential truly lies at 145lbs as it is....eh I think Isbulaev should be at 145 too. If you do want to do Bellator guys, Archie Colgan is another guy who's better than many you listed, Darragh Kelly etc.

There's a bunch of guys. Bojkovic and Amru are the literal firs two that come to mind though.

I do this list 5 may 2024.
Ruotolo then is focused on grappling, Ephoeviga doesn't have one decent fighter on his score, I don't believe in polish prospects out of KSW. I am from Balkan, Bojkovic has multiple injuries before, if he stay healthy he can do big things in his career. https://www.tapology.com/profiles/clown be covington/my-rankings/6173-lightweight-prospects-outside-ufc
I watch for 5/10 years from now... I know it's crazy to expect Habirora to be UFC champ, but he have fan base, great manager, athleticism to reach the highest level.
I definitely didn't put too much effort into the list, I just put people who I think have a high ceiling.

BONUS fighters are bois.

I have been keeping an eye on this kid for a while now. His grappling is already dominant and he just turned 20. I have some concerns about his striking and I'd like to see how he handles adversity, but he has tremendous potential IMO. Great fight IQ for such a young fighter.

At the Samourai MMA show last night he submitted his 4-0 opponent with less than ten seconds to spare after dominant performance. Slick armbar from guard.

Looking forward to seeing more from him. Adam Posener. Remember the name.

She's a 5'1 Atomweight, but I think Magdalena Czaban is great prospect.

2-0 as a pro with 2 submissions, but she had an extensive amateur career where she went 21-2. She is also very cute.

Rare to get an exciting Light Heavyweight but Walker certainly seems like one to me. He had a bit of a step up at the weekend fighting a UFC vet in Bevon Lewis and he absolutely breezed it.

Lewis just found him too athletic and strong and whenever he tried to clinch with him he just turned him round against the cage and did what he wanted. Whenever Lewis got near his hips he just shrugged him off effortlessly. When he decided top open up he was landing hard, hurting Lewis and playing that off against level changes. Once Lewis was on the ground it was game over as he played off the threat of the RNC with absolutely beating the shit out of him with punches from back mount.

Given that Ozzy Diaz got signed off a bit of a comeback win against Lewis, Walker should absolutely get signed off the back off swatting him away like a fly.

Never heard of this guy at all but sounds promising! Beat Nyle Bartling in the fight before this it seems, too - anotther decent regional win.

Ioan Harris vs Magomed-Giri Umarkhadziev at 155lbs is a big prospect fights this weekend. Giri is out of fight factory, i don't know his full story but he's 5-0 and 22 and he looks good as a Dagestani boy. Ioan Harris is 4-0 pro and 11-1 amateur at 23, he won an IMMAF title beating Patrick Habirora and Manuel Del Valle (good quite good). I kinda expect Giri to win, while his feats aren't as impressive he just looks more athletic and capable but I am curious if Harris can show me something here.

Of course Salamat Isbulaev fights for the Alash Pride title later on this month vs a 17-8 guy, and Rzepecki fights for the FEN title which is exciting too. A lot of good LW prospect fights at the end of November.

Wooooooah - just searched for Harris on Tapology and he was born in my fucking hometown / where my parents live! First guy from there to reach this sort of level - don't recognise his face though.

Got my handsome boy Virgil Augen headlining too.

That's awesome, do you speak Welsh? Hope he does well, seems like a smart guy with an involved little youtube channel. I do think this will end up being a reality check for him though.

Very little but its getting a lot more popular again. Yeah, if he's fighting a Dagi I dont fancy his chances haha.

Magomedgiri Umarkhadziev is Chechen. He is a family member of Akhmed Salamov

Umarkhadziev has looked promising but to be fair, his last fight did him no favors. His opponent obviously didn't want anything to do in there. Good to see him getting a good opponent.
