The boy's finally got himself a hype train after being in the rankings for an age at this point. Coming off a hard fought draw against Imavov in which he did get hurt he needed to put a stamp on his title against another of the endless Dagi's that keep getting thrown at him in Soslan Gagoev.

And boy did he put his foot down and show that he's the man in the division with his jab busting Gagoev up and mixing the cross and body kicks in well. When he wanted to wrestle he showed he could do that against the Dagestani fighter too en route to a second round finish.

Could well be the performance that gets him into the UFC if they decide to clear some of this bottleneck of regional lightweights.

UAE Warriors is a tough organization and extremely competitive. It is common to see people with great undefeated record or only few loss clashing against each others early on in their careers. N°1 prospect factory on the world.

I saw many talents there. Won't be easy taking that road for upcoming fighters.

2 Fighters at LHW from Brazil I have my eye on atm are:

Vitor Costa He looked very hittable in his last fight, while he still got the first round finish a better striker might actually hurt him so I will see how he is gonna perform in the future.

Maycon Rodrigues At 21 years old this kid is still very young, his last fight he got a very experienced Opponent (20-8) and finished him in the second. It is hard to find footage on this kid but I expect him to get a prelim fight or something on a LFA card soon.

Yuji Yannick Ephoeviga

Country - Japan
Weight Class - Lightweight
Age : 24
Promotion - Tribe Tokyo
Team - Tribe Tokyo
Record : 9-0

It's an absolute ballache to find this guy's fights but thankfully Tribe Tokyo finally uploaded his recent win against former Bellator title challenger Emmanuel Sanchez so I was actually able to catch a full fight of his.

Anyway I wasn't disappointed as the guy looks great. Very smooth and poised on the feet, looked very patient and never got drawn into the kind of all action brawl that Sanchez favours. Hops in and out of the pocket, closing distance quickly to land his strikes and being gone when the opponent tries to throw back while mixing in nice leg kicks and having a nice high kick he throws from time to time. Kept doing that until he caught Sanchez and followed up to put him out of there.

Granted Sanchez isn't the same fighter that fought Patricio for the title in Bellator a few years ago but it's still impressive to make beating him look as easy as this.

Ephoeviga also has an amateur win over Worlds Bronze Medalist in Freestyle Yuhi Fujinami.

Check out Mehemmedeli Osmanli, kids very good.

Got recked yesterday at APFC.

Yeah, I think he's chinny, it's happened a couple of times now. Mecate who he lost to is decent though, beat Jesse Delgado who won on contenders too.

At least Ewert won to keep Chilean hopes alive.
