Limelight My big stupid hype trains thread.

Any word on Khuseyn Shaykhaev? I remember mentions of him trying to get signed to the UFC and I believe he has US Visa.
Nothing.
My theory that maybe UFC decided to not sign any fresh from ACA fighters. Kerefov, Kerimov, Goncharov, Vakhaev, Tumenov, Sarnavskiy, Vartanyan - was free agents and wanted to get into UFC and didn’t get signed. I mean Vartanyan when he was free agent before ACA tournament.
And I can’t remember if there are even guys from ACA in UFC? Everyone who I can remember came from ACB, before creation of ACA.

They seem pretty uninterested in ACA fighters, you are not wrong.

Don't know if I've seen a fighter looking as smug as Luke Riley. Lmao.

His fights are good though, now two impressive wins over Malta and Lööf. I'll keep an eye on him.

About Mineev - it was announced that he is fighting Ivan Shtyrkov in November under kickboxing rules and 1 year later it will be rematch under mma rules.

Felipe Bunes?
Thanks.
But I meant fresh from ACA = left ACA and got signed straight to UFC, while seems Bunes fought after ACA in LFA.

Regarding Vartanyan - ended talks with ACA, at the moment in Kazakhstan helping his father with work, plans to move to US by the end of October. Seems like he and UFC agreed that he will need to get paid more than 10 000 $ per fight.
Also recently got involved in some beef. Armenian mma fighter converted to Islam and Ed wrote that guy did nothing to Armenia and if I understand right wrote that since he is Muslim now Turkish and Azerbaijani are his brothers. Seems like multiple Muslim mma fighters didn’t like such stuff from him and posted on social media about it.

Austin Bashi finishing a guy that was actually briefly signed at one point now, think it's time to bring him in, the kid is special.

Prospects like Bashi deserve real paychecks. PFL, Bellator, ONE should all be trying to sign this kid as should the UFC. Anything under 50k/50k just seems off to me personally.

He'll probably go to the UFC for 12/12 like anyone else. He's a UFC fighter I would say.

That's crazy if he gets signed for 12k/12k, he'd have to have a retard manager. 11-0 and only 22, has very legit wins and undeniable talent. Probably the best US based prospect in the sport, so many guys never go to the UFC because of this.

Lol can’t believe the UFC is being so rational that they will need to pay more then 10K/10k. U Fight Cheap strikes again

It's the long game. If you're someone who'll get to the top you'll earn more in the UFC in the long run.

Bellator is disappearing, PFL doesnt have that division, ONE will hold you hostage forever. UFC remains the best viable option. And if you are the only viable option, why would they pay above minimum?

Midaev vs. Ignatiev is target for next RCC event at November 4 (date might chance).

PFL is gonna go under in 2-3 years, ONE is gonna fail in their pursuit of the American market they seem desperate to get since that's the only way ever to recoop the 400 million or whatever they have burnt so far.

UFC will be the only thing left and you can go to your local LFA, Oktagon, KSW, Rizin if you want to just watch local guys you might know fight

ACA will exist.

I could that under KSW and Oktagon, regional competitions with mostly guys from that regions. No real intention to expand beyond maybe neighboring countries
And they already tried that back with ACB, to pretty much no success. Expanding internationally and being profitable in MMA is almost always mutually exclusive.
