Limelight My big stupid hype trains thread.

Bashi just won again, He's one of the best American prospects out there. But I still don't like him as a BW. He is simply too short, especially in a weight class as competitive as BW.

If he can cut down to FLW, he would be a monster.

@DUNKS is there any chance you could post things in spoiler tags with a note above about which card it's about. I quite often catch up on regionals during the week and try to avoid spoilers so I don't dare come into the thread at the moment lol.

My guess is that he signed as a last-minute replacement. Otherwise, this makes no sense.
See he is a well known Muay Thai champ who did the video, needs to work on his MMA but UFC has been moving on Kick Boxers lately..
MUAY THAI BASICS FOR MMA BY GASTON BOLANOS

    • Regular price $77.00

-Utilize the full Muay Thai clinch, also known as the Plum, in MMA to land devastating knees and elbows on your opponent. Think Aline Pereira could have used this...

Yuri Panferov's fought Brian Imes. I originally thought it was Brad Imes. It wasn't. Looking at Brian's record, he's a regional fighter who's been around for a while, but has a losing record and didn't really put up much of a fight as Panferov was able to dispose of him quickly.

To be fair, the entire card for the most part was mismatches.

Cage Warriors 147

George Hardwick looked good against Chris Bungard as he stopped him with a bogy shot in the second round. He's now 11-1 and on a 7 fight win streak. Seems like he's UFC bound as Paddy said on commentary there's a chance he's earned his spot on the London UFC card so I'm sure he'll get the call for it.

I thought he looked decent. I'm not sure he's quite ready yet but I tend to agree he'll get the call. I think I'm still reeling a bit from how difficult Figlak found the step up.

I’ve seen that fight between Vasily Takhtay and Marif Piraev was announced. No date yet.

Anthony Cassar is making his MMA debut at iKON FC 6 on Friday and also Anvar Boynazarov is fighting on the card. He’s really not a young rookie or anything, but a fun fighter to watch and he’s looking to bounce back from the big loss to Erick Silva on DWCS. I’m considering going to card, so am really looking forward to watching these 2 fighting live.

Is this guy any good? 12-1 but only fight once a year and is about to turn 30.

Going to try and get back into this in the new year.

Just thinking about rankings. Considering maybe counting ONE and PFL as major orgs as they tend to sign people on long term contracts and excluding fighters signed there from the rankings but not sure.

I’d consider both organizations major organizations at this point. I’m always most interested in the up and coming guys looking to get signed by one of the big organizations

Surprised to not see Ivan Shtyrkov in your rankings.
