Sergey Bilostenniy

Country - Russia
Weight Class - Heavyweight
Age : 25
Promotion - OFC
Record - 7-2

This dude is just a different type of HW. He's fast, agile and with super accurate and powerful boxing which is quite different from a lot of the more plodding HW's you find in the world today. His takedown defence didn't get tested too much in this fight, but if that's got better in the last couple of years since his last fight then he's a massive problem because he was lighting Vakhaev up on the feet when they fought. Needs to be on the Contender Series imo, UFC can't pass on this dude.

You might as well watch the fight because it's not a long one.

Who wins between them, Sergei Pavlovich or Bilostenniy. And screw Contender Series, straight into the UFC I say. He is a instant contender for any top promotion who gets him

Wouldn't be surprised to see UFC pass on him like they did with Mukhamad Vakhaev because they have a dumb quota and are cheap

I don't think they can pass on him. I'm a big fan of Vakhaev but he's more of a grappler (though he is a finisher) and they sometimes pass on grapplers. Lightning quick and powerful strikers they have to pick up.

Dunno with him and Pavlovich, would watch the fuck out of it though.

Right there with you. Those LFA cards look incredibly interesting. Lots of young talent with promising records. I wonder if the winners of the mini tournaments get signed by the UFC immediately.

Lucas Almeida seems solid. Former Jungle Fight champion. 12-0 with all finishes.

It’s not a bad list but I’m having trouble determining when the Bellator prospects are no longer considered “prospects” and are removed from the list?
Precisely. The criteria is confusing or questionable. I'd think either to have all bellator prospects or to consider bellator a major fighting organization and not list bellator prospects.

I haven't actually caught Taira's latest fight yet, but while waiting for it I've checked out his last two fights against super experienced guys in Shimizu and Maeda and I can only say I'm massively impressed with the guy. He has pretty solid standup with nice distance management and aggressive countering (I like the way if the other guy makes contact his instinct is to come forward at them rather than recoil and take further shots) but it's the grappling where the dude truly shines.

He seems to be one of the best back riders in the world already and actually does some shit I haven't really seen before in terms of getting the guy to the mat from the back against Shimizu and against Maeda it was just ridiculously smooth the way he took his back and dealt with him.

@careto look how smooth this sequence is. {<tongue}{<tongue}

Regarding AMC Boleyan is the champ. Also on Sunday there is EFC event called EFC Selection if I remember it right.

Smooth AF, indeed. It all went down so fast that his opponent looked to always be a step behind and never was able to catch up with him. Pretty impressive transitions from the scramble in the ground, to securing the back and sinking that RNC. It all went down very fast and smooth that it looked like it happened in the same motion. This is exactly how offensive grappling is supposed to look like. I miss the Aoki type of fighter, who is relentless in advancing position and a submission machine.

Regarding Bilostenniy he announced back in January or February of 2020 that news of him signing with some abroad/western promotion are coming soon. It ended with nothing.

And ACA and AMC -- it's not a rating war since AMC is the one that will be broadcasted live on TV. And I guess ACA will be Internet broadcast only. Maybe they will show main card fights in coming days/weeks as a tape delay.

If I had to guess, maybe he got an invite to Contender Series, that's why he hasn't announced it yet. Also what's the tv deal for AMC? Is AMC popular?

Isnt ACA the biggest Eastern European MMA promotion? How come they dont have a TV deal? Is it becauae of the whole Kahdyrov thing?

You misread it probably, he said it in 2020, around 1,5 years ago. Now he is with OFC but from what I understand they allow their fighters to leave for UFC/Bellator/DWTNCS. No idea about TV deal, I will not be surprised if they sign deals for 1 event (like, based on card and time they decide if they will broadcast this event). I guess they popular and they also into all that entertainment/freak thing -- like they have a Grand-Prix of giants in which Zuluzinho took part.
Isnt ACA the biggest Eastern European MMA promotion? How come they dont have a TV deal? Is it becauae of the whole Kahdyrov thing?
Biggest in what? Their star Raisov left for AMC and I remember reading some time ago that one of their unbeaten FlyW guy (if I'm not mistaken) left for AMC too.
No TV deal -- if I remember and understand it right they decided that selling their events as PPV is more profitable than TV deal. From what I read some time ago, the problem is their price for 1 event is nearly as much as a 1 month of Fight Pass (or it's Russian UFC TV channel?).

Biggest as in some of the best Russian fighters are in ACA...or maybe they used to be.

They still have a very good roster, primarily because it's where the Caucasus talent tends to go. Though maybe with Khabib running EFC now that might change as I imagine he would more smooth facilitate guys to move on to America if they wanted.
