Limelight My big stupid hype trains thread.

Tbf the guy that Chipurov fought also gave Matsumoto a pretty rough time when they fought.

Could well get a shot at the Ares belt if Sola leaves. Would be interesting to see him in with an experienced guy like Amin Ayoub or someone.
Ayoub signed with Hexagone. He is no longer with ARES.

Just watched Bilal Hasan absolutely demolish his outmatched opponent in CFFC with a nasty body shot KO. Just savage.

I really think Hasan is one of the best prospects outside the UFC. His fighting style pure entertainment, and he's got crazy killer instinct.

He's the best American prospect in MMA right now. He's in my top 20 best prospects outside the UFC for sure, maybe top 10.

Okay February, I’ll try and catch up with some actual posts soon.

Middleweight

8. Vitor Costa – 2000 – Brazil – Jungle Fight – 8-1
He signed with Iridium so I'm sure he'll possibly get one more fight in Brazil and they on DWCS.

Middleweight

12. Christopher Ewert – 1993 – Chile – Fury FC – 7-0 (up 9 places)
He's very talented, but has a relatively little amount of fights for his age. He's a client of Iridium as well, so I could see him getting a short notice fight offer as I don't see the UFC wanting him for DWCS at his age.

Lightweight

7. Cristian Perez - 1999 - Mexico - Combate Global - 13-1
Just got picked in the new class to train at the UFC PI. Given how underwhelming the opportunities given to the class from last year were, this probably doesn't really mean much on that aspect, but it will give him better training opportunities.

Lightweight

19. Eduardo Vazquez - 1998 - Mexico - Budo Sento - 8-0
I just saw he was announced for a Budo Striking match which is a muay thai fight with MMA gloves at Budo 27 later this month.

Featherweight

10. Ramiro Jimenez - 1999 - Mexico - Combate Global - 10-0
Was also selected in the new class for the UFC PI.

Harry Hardwick

Country - England
Weight Class - Featherweight
Age : 29
Promotion - Cage Warriors
Team - Middlesbrough Fight Academy
Record : 12-3-1

I've been toying with putting Harry on here during his last few fights but his performance in his last title defence against Keweny Lopes was undeniable. Lopes had been impressive in LFA, running through previous hype train Wellington Prado to earn this opportunity and is a physical Joanderson Brito type fighter.

He's just a ridiculous pressure and pace fighter. He sometimes eats a couple of shots early and he did again in the Lopes fight but his chin seems pretty rock solid and he just pours the pace and pressure on people. His boxing is really good and he's got the same kind of body punching that his brother George has but seems to be able to push a higher pace than George. Really good grappler too with really good back takes so can just mix all these things together at a crazy pace to just break people.

It'll be interesting to see if he can get to the five round fight stage in the UFC because I really do think he's got that Charles Johnson like ability to drag people into deep waters and fuck them up there.
