Limelight My big stupid hype trains thread.

Got some trains to do at some point but December rankings

Fucking shitty Heavyweight

  1. Mario Piazzon - 1998 - Brazil – Centurion FC - 8-0 (honestly an awful number one but it is what it is)
  2. Shah Kamali – 1999ish – England – Levels Fight League – 3-0
  3. Marsel Sychev – 1997 – France – RCC – 4-1 (New entry)
  4. Odie Delaney - 1989 - USA - Alaska FC - 5-0
  5. Alexander Soldatkin – 1993 – Russia – GFC – 15-4
  6. Bailey Schoenfelder - 1997 - USA - CFFC - 5-1
  7. Denzel Freeman – 1991 – USA – LFA – 5-1
  8. Azamat Nuftillaev – 1994 – Uzbekistan – Open FC – 15-1-1
Sychev is from Belarus and can fight only in non-WADA organizations

Juan Pablo Vieira at LFA 197 looked sharp. Big prospect material.

Dani Barbir & Julius Walker must have been memorable to debut close to the top of your rankings.

Yeah they both looked great although not in the strongest divisions.

You hate heavyweight don't you, hahahah! Get Greg Velasco in there, son!

Oktagon is signed these two.

Murtazali Magomedov as a featherweight is 8-0 with 100% finish rate. He is fighting a 9-1 fighter in the next 2 days.
Shermurat Kalilov is a good fighter with an 9-0 record.

Kyrgiz are taking over the game.

Mehemmedeli Osmanli took out my attention. He is 9-0 with 100% finish and only 20 years old.

A bright future lies ahead.

I'm high-ish on Murtazali, @Hellowhosthat isn't. One things for sure, a lot of these guys could be more active.

Osmanli is a huge talent to watch out for, has a slick Tae Kwon Do background, solid defensive wrestling and seems to kinda "get it" in there. Asaf Chopurov, Kyouma Akimoto, Kasib Murdoch, Razhabali Shaydullaev, there's a lot of insane talent at BW that's super young. If PFL continues to farm these types of guys their whole rankings will be in Cyrillic.

Murtazali is fighting again on Friday so let's see if he tickles my pickle this time.

Daniyar Toychubek Uulu

Country - Kyrgyzstan
Weight Class - Flyweight
Age : 22
Promotion - Ala-Too FC
Team - Uulu Kyrgyz Sports Club
Record : 10-0

Obviously this guy would have been hyped much earlier but since the 4th fight of his career he's been with ACA. After going 6-0 under a quality banner like that he decided to leave and pursue the UFC dream with his first step being a bit of a drop in competition but still picking up a regional title and an easy win.

He's unbelievably talented both standing and on the ground and in particular the way he showed Alexsandro Praia the right then blasted him with the left in ACA stands out as a kid who not only hits hard and quickly but is also intelligent in the way he sets things up.

Ideally the UFC will just sign him straight away but he might have to have a fight or two in a Fight Pass promotion like UAE Warriors to truly get on the radar but at 22 and already in double digit wins, time is on his side.

Kazaksthan and Kyrgisthan are producing more MMA prospects combined than whole Japan, China, and southern east asia countries. They are really going to take over the game.

Murtazali got a nice KO but pretty mid performance. Got badly hurt by a Brazilian journeyman who he ended up fighting instead of the other guy.

Tajikistan is producing some good ones too, Faridun Odilov, Samandar Murodov, Khalim Nazruloev, Nurullo Aliev, Salohidinov, Bakhtovar Yunusov etc etc. These are fighting countries, for some reason Uzbekistan which has the largest population and most medals out of Central Asia hasn't gotten the MMA bug yet but Tajikistan, Kyrgyzstan and Kazakhstan are all elite in wrestling, Judo, Boxing and Sambo for the most part and Karate and or Tae Kwon Do is pretty popular in these region too...many do other forms of freestyle fighting like Sambo or MMA such as Hand to Hand Combat, Sanda etc. Also...many still have to travel and live out of Russia since high level gyms and training aren't super available in their countries yet but teams are getting better. The sports growing and while 15k/15k isn't a livable salary in the US or Western Europe, in Central Asia and the Caucasus that's like upper middle class+ living type wages.

Regional fighter who crashed UFC 308 presser booked for make-or-break fight with contract on the line.

Dana not going to South Korea anymore due to unrest there he says he will stay in Florida and do a video conference so will not be the typical looking for a fight show but a video conference mess.

@Hellowhosthat

Julius Walker won AGAIN, quickly - smashed Myron Dennis in less than 2 mins, now 6-0. Surely on the cusp?

Shah Ramali beat a 4-0 guy quickly in Levels, he's now 4-0 at HW. But seems more like a LHW. Can I ask what it is about him you like? Hasn't beaten anyone of note it seems, I know it's HW though!

Kabesa lost to Staden it looks like, that's him down for the count as a possible UFC signing. Could still end up on PFL if they make that African League offshoot.

At the post fight pressor Dana said he did not sign Dorobshokh Nabotov who lost said he was one dimension fighter who Zombie said was hard to work with, he also said he signed the other guy Matheus Camilo. Who else he signed he did not say, possibly, In Su Hwang, Joo Sang Yoo, Yun Seong Jang.
