Thanks - the PR wasn't really planned...The add50 program called for some negatives of 270, but I was feeling pretty good so I figured I just see if I could do a rep before I did the negatives...if it was planned I probably would have shot for 275.

This is my 1st day of cardio in months....I'll probably be sore tomorrow, which may suck for deadlifts. I tried to take it really easy, we'll see what happens.
 
are you still training bjj anywhere?

nice benching as well. according to my math, im near a 270 bench as well, but ive never tried over 245
 
Yes, I'm training at Gracie Barra Huntington Beach but I haven't been to BJJ class in a week and a half...washing machine broke at home, and they had to order a part, took a week & it was the wrong part, so I'm still waiting. I usually wash my gi immediately after class, and just didn't want a stinky gi hanging around until I go to the laundrymat...should have already been fixed.....I'll be back in there soon...

Tough workout today, but really happy with the deadlift PR. That puts me over 1000 lbs total for the big 3, and it also means that I've set new 1RM's in 3 workouts straight. Still a lot to do in March, I am planning on new PR's in both bench and deadlift by the end of the month. Will post video of the deadlift shortly.

Will be very interested to see if I can keep this pace up since I've started transitioning into a diet this month. However, I am still giving myself 2-3 big, high-carb days (660g carbs) per week to help with recovery for the rest of this month.

Deadlift vid from today. Form wasn't great on this pull, I didn't stick my chest through enough in the setup & as a results, there's some lower back rounding. I'm also not pulling back quite enough. But I got it & its a 20 lb PR.

660g of carbs? In a day?? FUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUCK.

Its actually a range. My high carb days are 2x-3x bodyweight, so 440-660g carbs + 220-275g Protein. Yep, its really tough to eat 660g of carbs...

Great workout today!! I'm really on a roll here with a bunch of good workouts in a row & lots of PRs. Bench felt awesome today. The add50 program called for me to rep out at 230lbs today & if I get more than 4 reps, to increase the working max that the program uses. My goal was 5-8 reps & I got 10! Previous best was 7x230 on Feb 10th - just a few weeks ago.

Whats also amazing to me is that less than a year ago (May 2010) when I started my 5 rep max was 205. FUUUUUUUUUCK thats some progress! I'm STOKED Mofos!!

Im starting add50 myself next week. Do you know any sites that got some information on the program? I cant seem to find any. All the "offical" sites are down.
