My 2 y.o. niece sees ghosts

Different than the spiritual version in that theyre smaller and not as colourful. The spiritual and electromagnetic undulate in the same sort of watery motion though. Sort of like looking at a mirage in the desert.
I see like an outline of barely visible light. It is sort of watery like you said.

It amazes me how few people know that if you stimulate a certain part of the right rear brain with electricity, that people see visions of God and aliens.

What I find interesting is what evolutionary function this serves. Is it indeed a sixth sense, or a psychological coping mechanism?

I believe some folks can see ghosts and that they're not hallucinating. I might have had one or two experiences as a kid too.

Then again lots of kids have imaginary friends. I don't know if they're just figments of imagination, ghosts, angels or what the heck ever. Maybe even imagination playing tricks for a long period of time. I've always been fascinated with ghosts and the supernatural.

I'd lean toward coping mechanism but who really knows.

We lose certain abilities quite quickly that we have as very young people. The most notable being able to see EM auras on living things. I cant remember how they proved this but I read a credible scientific study about it quite a while ago. Interestingly some people never lose the ability and its one thats possible for everyone with sight to pick up again with certain exercises.
Also a theory I must have read somewhere suggests that so called ghosts and the like are potentially temporal anomalies rather than conscious entities. The
amount of weird shit that can happen in spacetime is something inherently difficult to and not very well researched.
If you think of a ghost as being like an overexposure in a photo, but the photo being the proverbial fabric of spacetime it makes for an entirely different yet plausible explanation.

This is interesting maybe we can manipulate space time watch past events

What do these em auras look like? I've seen an aura outline around people before, and I've known others that can see them too.

Thats why Muslims have a special garb to hide the Aura.

My daughter talked to my wifes dead grandma whom she never met and hadnt seen a picture of.

Yes I read that theory well not really a theory it is basically proven I just cant back it up right now. Basically it says we might all be 2d btbut due to light reflection we are in a 3d world. S

Basically, you're sitting on the plot for the next Paranormal Activity. Jump on it while it's still fresh.

This doesn't account for the cases where people come away from the encounters with information they never could've known -- the ability to find objects in hidden places, the ability to identify relatives who died before the experiencer was born and who they never even knew existed, sudden new knowledge in regard to family secrets, etc. There is also, as a few other posters have alluded, the physical effects on the environment that sometimes accompany these encounters (or stand on their own), such as objects moving seemingly on their own.

I'm not going to disagree that at least SOME supposed encounters with the paranormal are hallucinations, because they most certainly are, but I don't think that all of them fall into this category.

People just waive it off when kids tell them they see things. Take that seriously TS. Small children have the ability to see and communicate with the spiritual realm. Pets too.

I actually was just about to post that. There are a lot of instances of kids, and also seemingly pets, seeing things that adults just couldn't see.

I have a friend who has had some out-of-body experiences. For a long time she didn't understand what these experiences were and referred to them as her "weird dreams." She told me a story about how one time this happened to her. She was asleep in her room and she "dreamed" that she walked into the living room and sat down in a chair and that her dog started freaking out and barking at her. After she woke up, her roommate was like, "The weirdest thing happened. The dog was just chilling and then jumped up and started barking at the chair like someone was sitting there."

The fuck?
