Last night i helped babysit my niece and nephew at my mom's place. My niece slept in bed with grandma. I had passed out at 10pm, so i ended up waking up early around 5am.

I heard my niece talking with my mom so i went in the room to see if i could help get her back to sleep.

My mom tells my she woke up at 2:30 and my niece was standing at the bedroom door just staring.

My mom also told me that she was pointing at nothing asking who it was. At one point she said she saw grandpa, who's been dead for 11 years. Additionally she started waving and saying hi to no one, then asked "why isn't the man waving back?"

Freaky as hell. I'm guessing she was exhausted or maybe just the context was spooky and it's something kids do after they dream. My other nephew has also claimed to have seen his grandpa when he was around that age (he's 6, so he never met him either).

There's other stuff, but i don't want to make the OP longer.

Yeah probably something from a dream carrying over.

I don't wave at kids either. I've been called on that shit too many times. Different times bro

She's 2... At 2-3 years old, my daughter thought shadows were ghosts.

Someone I work with grew up with a sibling who saw a little girl named Judy. She said that went on for many years...

I don't believe in ghosts, but it was still freaky watching her talk to specific people that weren't there.

If you had set eerie music to it it would have passed for a horror movie scene.

years back my sister was out visiting the parents at their house (they live 45 minutes out of the city). about 40 minutes in to the drive you have to take a 7km dirt road to get to the parents house. Anyhow, she was heading home(still on the dirt road) when my nephew suddenly told her to watch out for the guy walking on the road. Of course their was no one on the road.

Another time he told me that my grandpa, his great grandpa was in his jacket pocket and visited him.

We lose certain abilities quite quickly that we have as very young people. The most notable being able to see EM auras on living things. I cant remember how they proved this but I read a credible scientific study about it quite a while ago. Interestingly some people never lose the ability and its one thats possible for everyone with sight to pick up again with certain exercises.
Also a theory I must have read somewhere suggests that so called ghosts and the like are potentially temporal anomalies rather than conscious entities. The
amount of weird shit that can happen in spacetime is something inherently difficult to and not very well researched.
If you think of a ghost as being like an overexposure in a photo, but the photo being the proverbial fabric of spacetime it makes for an entirely different yet plausible explanation.

If a kid tells you - shit is tasty and you should eat it, would you eat it? Then why the fuck would you believe that little shit when he tells you he's talking to a ghost?

What do these em auras look like? I've seen an aura outline around people before, and I've known others that can see them too.

As for the OP, ghosts are real. I've shared my one (And only one that I care to ever have) experience with anything like this that turned me from someone that was not only a science buff and skeptic into a person that simply has no explanation for witnessing something shooting off his desk off it's own.

People here will think I'm full of shit and like I said when I signed up here and made my original thread, I can completely understand that. If I hadn't seen what I'd seen with my own two eyes, I'd call bullshit instantly on any absurd story like I just said. I don't blame anyone for that. But I can tell you right now, it's real. Four years ago, I experienced it for myself.

Credible scientific study huh?

Different than the spiritual version in that theyre smaller and not as colourful. The spiritual and electromagnetic undulate in the same sort of watery motion though. Sort of like looking at a mirage in the desert.

Several years ago I house sit my Aunty's place when she was overseas. She had mentioned weird things happening there, but I was totally unprepared for what went down. First night I'm sitting there playing video games and I saw out of the corner of my eye a large shape move past the door. Dropped the controller and went to the hall to have a look - nothing there. Freaked me out a bit, but it was late so I shrugged it off, locked up the house and went to bed.

Woke up early in the morning to a drafty room and saw that all the windows and a double french door were wide open. It was winter so I definitely had them shut when I went to sleep a few hours earlier. Closed them all, they're heavy sash windows that open vertically so no chance of just blowing open. Had breakfast, went to work.

Got home that evening, nothing really odd happened. A couple of times the lights went out and I saw the switch had actually been flicked, not just the lights going off due to heat. The oven also turned itself on which I thought was strange, but it was an old house and the wiring could have been fucked. It got late, so i double checked the windows all over the house, locked up and went to sleep. When I woke up, sat up and saw that every single painting in the room had been taken off the wall and put face down on the carpet while I was asleep. I talking 6-7 paintings. the hooks were all in so they didnt fall out, they had been deliberately taken down.

I dont sleep walk and there are no CO issues in Australia so I didnt do this myself. It freaked me out, so I left the place and decided to sleep at my place that night. Got up early and went round to feed my aunty's cat. Open the front door, walked halfway down the corridor when the skylight fell out and smashed at my feet. Got a glazier to replace it and he couldn't figure out how it had possibly come out - the frame was intact and the protective glass over the top was still fine.

That was the last time I ever agreed to house sit that place.

Ive had experiences myself along with my brother and parents. If not
for our shared experiences Id think I was crazier than I am. That being said we dont know what they were and Im reluctant to call them ghosts.
