MVP when he faces real strikers

Interesting UFC went this approach, instead of feeding him people he can beat, like Poatan. To me, this is nothing but a UFC grudge match. Take out the stars that we just paid money for, PRIDE style, then lie about it, even though the emails exposed it, and we all know this is going on. Very interesting. MVP is a star, with the right match ups could easily add excitement. But they are more interested in damaging their own cattle.
You notice this type of match making a lot of times. And I'm not talking about the stars.

Uh, the second fight was a split Dec win. Don’t know how you can classify that as a shut out. It took place in London and Mike Beltran decided to stand them up in the third round despite Lima landing more GNP than the first round, where he was neutralized by Page controlling the wrists. It was a snoozer.
Not only that but Lima nearly took Page's head off in the same fashion as the first fight, missing by mere centimeters.

people are misinterpreting, i meant people he can beat, similar to how Poatan was given people he could beat when he first joined the UFC.

Come on Xzibit
Ahhh, yes the wording definitely sounded like "Feed Poatan to MVP" which would be farcical. I agree, while I think MVP's true level is somewhere above gatekeeper maybe like top ~7, he is always an exciting fighter win or lose, definitely should have some matchups where a guy will bang with him and I mean, Holland stood with WB don't see why he wouldn't do it again for the bonus money.

Agreed, with the right matchups MVP could be a house hold name. If Holland did have some sort of gentlemens agreement, then respect, but I feel like he learned his lesson the last time. I think Holland would have been a good second fight in the UFC, I think they should have gave him a lay up, highlight KO reel worthy match up first, but what do i know. glad MVP finally signed with the UFC, hopefully he will get the respect and exposure he deserves.
