I remember Bionic Commando in the arcade.....

My top 5 games were:

1. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2: The Arcade Game-Best portable version of the arcade game (which is still good today) and it had additional enemies and stages on the NES.
2. Super Mario Brothers 2-Others above have said it but it is still the most solid of the 3 Mario games on NES. Plus the fact that every character had different jumps made the game good.
3. Mike Tyson's Punchout-Arguably the best boxing game to exist. Still holds up today.
4. BattleToads-One of the hardest and anger inducing games ever. Still fun to play but impossible for me to beat.
5. Rad Racer-So simple but I love this game. To me it is one of the best driving games ever.

Also, shout out to Bases Loaded and Mega Man 2.

There's a little known game called code name viper that I also loved. Apparently it's a ripoff of an arcade game called rolling thunder. I never played rolling thunder but code name viper was a very well executed game. I had a lot of fun with it.

I always hated renting a game for the weekend on a friday and then I'd get it home and the game would absolutely suck or I wouldn't know what to do.

NES had some good games but it seems like they had 50 shit games to every 1 good game.

They did a Noir style detective game too. Could never beat that on in the weekend I had it rented, Nintendo power was no help at all...
