<LikeReally5>, really? cos lots of people think they give too much airtime to right wing think tanks and farage, as well as laura keunsberg being a complete joke as political editor.

I think it's probably balanced. They should allow right wing views as well as left wing ones.

Has the BBC extensively reported on the scenes of men waving the very same weapons used in the Southport attack?

If it's true, it's true, I just don't believe it.

Though there are general statistics that black people are twice as likely to be arrested as white people, but I would bet that ties more to poverty than skin colour.

And we all ignore statistics we don't like, mate.
  • overall, men were almost 6 times as likely to be arrested as women – there were 19.4 arrests for every 1,000 men, and 3.3 for every 1,000 women
I've never seen a Sherdogger wanting to take drastic action over the "male" problem, which is way more severe than any ethnicity issue - whether we like it or not!

Lol I was just gonna ask you if you were gonna deny as well that men commit more crime, I guess not on that one since it's so in your face. Yes, it's a simple biological fact that men have higher testosterone levels and are more prone to violence.

You can't just remove all males from society, but we can definitely do something about immigrants. That's the difference here.

You can't do a lot about second, third or fourth generation immigrants, though - and nor should we.

Unless they commit crimes, of course, and then we can punish those crimes.

Your stabbing rate is 2.5 theirs. All that proves is Brits can't finish the job. Probably due to their limp wrists.

(Disputed who actually said this)

An 18-year-old has been arrested for being a ‘curious observer’ at a protest in Belfast.

Any update on our friendly enrichers who flaunted their swords and machetes live on Sky News?

Or how about the thugs who battered multiple women at Manchester Airport?

The Rochdale rioters?

There is no actual causal relationship between poverty and violent crime. That's a myth. I did look up British crime stats and black overrepresentation in murder compared to white British appears to be much more than 2 times.

9.2 times as likely to be a murder suspect in London and 4.6 times as likely in the rest of the UK (you have to do some basic math with the numbers they provide). Although they are very overrepresented as victims as well.

As far as men committing more crime, that's true, but men do basically all manual labour, are more fit for leadership and high stress roles, and are more likely to singularly focus on their careers and tend to contribute more economically. Never mind the gender difference in systemizing and suitability/orientation toward working in STEM. There are even more men in the high IQ range. Then there's dating/marriage. A nation can't really function properly without a nearly equal gender ratio.

The same isn't true for black immigrants. The only thing they improve is your Olympic team. They're an obvious net negative otherwise. And any nation would be considerably better off if they replaced their black immigrants with Filipinos or basically anyone else. And I'm not saying that a country shouldn't accept any black immigrants, but the standards they should be required to meet should obviously be increased. The current situation is insanely sub-optimal.

You could deport any criminal who has dual nationality and take their nationality/passport away.

Of course, you also need to make serious efforts to help them assimilate, which hasn't been happening nearly good enough at all.

You can also be a lot more strict on new immigrants to avoid the problem gets out of hand even worse. Obviously you'll hear the most about this because it's the simplest and most logical solution to prevent the problems from getting even more out of hand.

Cameron Armstrong, 18 from Belfast, was charged with rioting in the Connswater area of east Belfast after his solicitor argued that while his client was on the 'periphery' of the scene, he denied being involved in any of the rioting.

The defence solicitor said his client had gone to 'have a look' but left when petrol bombs were thrown.

'He doesn't have to throw a petrol bomb or brick to be involved in disorder, if he's present at disorder,' Judge Rafferty said.

'Anybody involving themselves in this type of behaviour, this type of disorder, as an active participant or a curious observer can expect to be, save for the most exceptional circumstances, remanded into custody, and this defendant is remanded into custody

One of the biggest concerns I foresee. Is if certain elements keep pointing to generational trauma as justification for their crimes behaviour. It's going to be extremely difficult to convince anyone that second generation is fine from a warzone etc etc.

It's a foolish line to go down imo

Personally I do not believe in generational trauma / DNA trauma

DNA trauma is bullshit, but there can definitely be influence 1-2 generations down the line from social/cultural influence.

Here's a good example from my country (the Netherlands):
- My grandfather's generation outright hate the Germans. You'll still see people in their 70s and 80s use slurs against them on national television today and just generally be hateful towards them.
- My dad's generation kind of dislikes the Germans. They weren't allowed to play with kids whose parents were traitors during the war and you'll hear some negative things about them but it's not as serious.
- My own generation, there's a lot less hate. You'll hear some jokes, the rivalries in sports are a bit stronger against the Germans but that's about it.

Of course, there's more nuance to this and in areas where we were heavily bombed the hate against the Germans is probably going to be stronger to this day.

If some old immigrants in the west is resentful towards the native population for treating him bad, of course it's not just going to disappear in one generation. You'll see a similar thing. Plenty of immigrant kids won't openly date natives or associate much with them because their parents will get angry.

Completely agree . It's social influences/ family friends / culture. It's not inherent In peoples dna.

Colombia?

That's the one.

A couple of weeks ago I had like 16 police officers right in front of my house and then a local "FBI" came in with 4 more people to tape off a a vehicle and dust it off and inspect it.

Turns out somebody murdered another dude and decided to park the escape vehicle right in front of my front door.

The murder weapon? You guessed it, a knife.

I'm struggling to understand how this has been allowed to happen as from the reports, his mere presence alone isn't enough to satisfy S1 of the public order act.

You don't need to be committing an actual criminal act, but you must be clearly defined as part of a group (present together) acting in a way that would make people fear for their safety

The judges assertion that being present alone is enough to commit the act is false. If that were the case then literally every person there, including police, paramedics, journalists etc would be guilty.

sure, from credible panelists, tufton street mouthpieces were all over the airwaves up to brexit, farage had 36 appearances on question time despite not being an MP, the greens and lib dems had 2 or 3 each in that time. why in gods name was the likes of isobel oakeshott always on? the upper management of the BBC, all torys and tory donors, not exactly balanced.

Oh I agree actually. This is a extremely slippery road. Good way to remove independent videos I guess. No more neutral witnesses....

Just " officials "

Still crazy that "being part of a group" is enough in the first place. If I'm walking next to you on the street and you shoot somebody, I can't be charged for murder.
