I suppose it depends on what circumstances the people who originally emigrated came with. If they had a bit of money behind them when they came then it's easier for someone to make a go of it than if someone just comes with the clothes on their back.

Is that household earnings or individual earnings? The women don't work (or have a real career) as often and that is going to lower their household income compared to Indians and Chinese. But that also means they will live in relative poverty and require financial aid more often.
