40% receive benefits of some kind (again a loaded term) on average 20% of their income is made up directly of benefits, 50% are technically living in poverty (compared to 18% general population) and they make up 2/3 of the UKs lowest earners.

Bangladeshi migrants make a significant portion of those figures as opposed to say Iranians or Turkish.

i was at the poll tax riots and left just before it kicked off, mounted police charged a static line of protesters just hanging out in the royal park, it went south after that, sure there were a section of anarchist types looking for aggro, but the huge crowd was almost all peacefully protesting before the police re enacted the peterloo massacre. maggie was gone not long after that little escapade. starmer aint going anywhere because some gammons set light to the local library

I'm as left wing, old labour, very liberal as you get. This is a big reason why they over represent in crime. We import to may of the poor and Illiterate.

Pakistan has a caste system.
They actually discriminate amongst themselves.

Its quite crazy. I worked with a guy from Islamabad. He did not regard Mipuri(sic) Pakistanis as on his level.

The exact breakdown of benefits is unsurprisingly hard to come by, but judging by the fact 50% are alleged to live in poverty, and they make up 2/3 of the lowest earnings group - it's more than just child benefit.

It can be debated ad infinitum the reasons why Bangladeshi and Pakistani Muslims are chronic underachievers, but it's hard to make the case it's social mobility when the top performers in the UK are Chinese and Indian.

Policing is devolved in the UK

There is a national police now, the NCA, formed in 2013, although thankfully they still seem to be playing quite a small role. There are also units with national scope within regional forces.

If this kind of thing interests you we also have a supreme court, founded in 2009, although you can't appeal to it from Scotland on a criminal case (unless in some unusual circumstances maybe). And all eight police forces and eight fire brigades in Scotland were unified in 2013 as well.

I strongly oppose all of these changes.
