Firey but mostly peaceful?

Article 10 of the EHRA protects freedom of expression, with an exception for that which will cause crime. The UK government got around this by proclaiming that any opinion different from theirs could cause imaginary crime.
Yeah we have Thoughtcrime now. Beat up someone because he's your girlfriend's ex = 1 year. Beat up someone because you don't want that ethnicity in your area = 5 years, 1 for the beating and 4 for the thoughts.

Make lawful and factual statements with the intent to incite indignation against the ultra-rich = ok. Make lawful and factual statements with the intent to stir up religious/racial/sexual orientation etc. hatred = right to jail.

I just hope my countrymen don't embarrass me at the Far Right rally in Glasgow this afternoon.

I mean, the English managed to burn down a police station. So we need to gang-rape a copper to death while live-streaming it just to stay top of the league! 😈

Two-tier Keir is a fantastic nickname for Starmer. I think that one's going to stick.

Yvette Cooper really shit the bed on this one

The riots in Harehills, following a child being removed from Roma parents after suffering serious head injuries, was "audacious criminality" (audacious - ie bold, brave, daring, fearless"

The riots in Southport after multiple young children are hacked up by a 2nd generation migrant who laughed in court

"we are going to fuck up anyone even remotely near to this and anyone considering any future protests will have every imaginable right stripped from them. Oh and mosques will be awarded £117 million to keep them safe as an addition fuck you"
They're also reviewing the child protection case in Leeds and the social workers who decided to remove the child.

For those not in Britain, there's a tragic story pretty much every month in the UK of a child dying at the hands of abusive parents. More often than not, it turns out that social workers were involved but weren't willing to trigger what is viewed as the nuclear option of removing the child.

There must have been some pretty serious and genuine reasons to remove that child. Yet, as with the Manchester Airport attackers, it looks like certain mob rule is set to win.

I wouldn't give them the platform personally.

A cold, dark room all alone.
Platform? That's what drops out before the rope goes tight. I myself think it would be a great deterant, not a "platform" to see them hanging there

A Police Liaison Officer instructing a mob to 'discard' any weapons in 'the mosque', so not to give 'any excuse' for arrests.

Insane. If he is not suspended immediately then serious questions need asked.

damn, the UK is such a defeated country.

More stabby stuff from the home of no gun violence.

Sad.

Preventing access to guns doesn't prevent violence, it just mitigates how much damage is done when it occurs.

In this case the UK's gun laws likely saved a dozen more more children's lives. If he could stab 13 people, killing 3... imagine the damage he would have done with a gun.

2024 or 1224? People battling in the streets with melee weapons. Not a great start for Starmer and Labour.
