Mueller's Patton the back (investigation thread v. 22)

Trump was friends with Manafort for decades. He knew how he made his money and where it came from and he still put him in charge of the campaign. To say it’s a coincidence that all these guilty verdicts and pleas from Trump associates has nothing to do with the man who put them into those positions is absurd.

I don't really think the Muller probe is going to end with a collusion charge against Trump, btw. I never did. I think obstruction of justice is obvious prima facie, though, and Kushner and Don Jr.'s balls may be in a sling.
What would the collusion charge be? I have a real issue with that terminology because it's not actually a crime in the context of how people are using it when accusing Trump. Maybe he conspired to release hacked emails, for example, and I think you guys mean stuff like that.

That's the whole point. Manafort worked for other Republicans in the past and Trump hired him foolishly on advice from establishment Republicans. Now he's blamed for things that have absolutely nothing to do with him. And a rogue prosecutor has all these resources to destroy someone's life for political purposes.
You don't think tax evasion and related fraud is worth prosecuting?

I don't think tens of millions of taxpayer dollars should go to investigating things from 10-15 years ago because the target was part of the campaign of the other party during the election.

I think there are more important things, like maybe for example going after Rachel Jeantel for committing perjury in a capital murder case commented on by the former POTUS or the former Secretary of State lying about a private server hacked at the same time the Chinese government managed to identify and kill all of our major CIA assets in China. Or how about another former Secretary of State conspiring with the Iranian government to undermine the current POTUS.

Hell yeah they probably took enough of Manafort's crime bucks to cover the cost of the Russia investigation.

Too many establishment entities out to get Trump. Hard to sift through the bs.

Like, imagine if fox news was in charge of every Hillary investigation, and the benghazi crap.. that's what this looks like; Only it's worse.

It's not that hard to "sift through the bs." Let me help you my friend..

  • 16 Months

  • Paul Manafort, Trump's campaign chairman (Aug 22, 2018): Found guilty by EDVA jury on eight counts of tax evasion and bank fraud

  • Rick Gates, deputy chairman (Feb. 23, 2018): Pleaded guilty to charges of conspiracy against the U.S. and making false statements to federal investigators.
  • Michael Flynn, Trump's national security adviser (Dec. 1, 2017): Pleaded guilty to making false statements to FBI agents

  • George Papadopoulos, Trump's foreign policy advisory (Oct. 5, 2017): Pleaded guilty to making false statements to FBI agents

  • Paul Manafort becomes the fifth Trump campaign team member to plead guilty to criminal charges
  • The special counsel has secured two additional guilty pleas and obtained indictments against 26 others.

These people are all now cooperating with the United States Department of Justice Office of Special Counsel, headed by Robert Mueller. That's a lot of information that's going to be given.. So much for hiring the "best people."

I'm sure you're a busy guy, how do you find the time for all that "what about Hillary?"

Sorry but you are wrong.

A verbal confession, unless coerced or gained illegally is always admissible and something a jury can consider. A key tactic of law enforcement is to trick or pressure a person into confessing and tape it and as long as they do not break any laws in getting it, it will be admissible. They will often send in a cooperating witness to illicit the confession/admission while wired.

I wasn’t talking about a confession, re-read my statement

Ah crap I just read my own shit. I disnt mean confession I was talking about a statement. Like Trump did such and such.

And I guess also not in admissible but I’ll advised.

Even a statement is admissible as long as its not just pointing fingers and saying 'you did...'.

But if they record a statement or get a statement where I am admitting to a crime WE did together or talking about a crime we did together that is admissible against both of us.
