That's an amazing twist on the usual story. Looking forward to this.

That looks fucking good.
I thought the original was okay, but it totally ripped off the formula from Captain America: The First Avenger.Looks rather bland to me but then again I didn't think much of the original either. The date seems like a bit of a cheap tie in to 80's nostalgia without actually having much in the way of visuals of the era.

This one at least looks like an original story, and I am definitely a sucker for the "cheap 80's nostalgia."
The police cars and the style of the mall all fit. I remember the 80's well. The trailer wasn't particularly long, so I wasn't expecting to see a whole lot. When people think of 80's nostalgia in cinema though there not generally talking about the setting but the style which that trailer shows very little of indeed.

Some of those films you mentioned may have exaggerated things a little.I mean when I think of 80's revivalism I think, Drive, Atomic Blonde, Blade Runner 2049, Ragnarok, films that focus on the look of the era moreso than being set in that era.
Soooo May 21 2021 is the scheduled release date for MATRIX 4: JESUS NEO'S JOHN WICK
How much did the Abu Dhabi government subsidize the production costs?
