Neve Campbell is about to turn 51, and returning after Scream 5 basically was passing the torch to Melissa Barrea and Jenna Ortega is evidence they've completely ran out of ideas.

Thought Scream 6 was actually pretty great, until the last two minutes when its revealed a few characters we thought were killed off were like "I'm alive! They thought they killed me but I played dead after a few superficial stabs."
And that's after they brought back Hayden Panettierie after she was clearly killed off in Scream 4.

Its bizarre the Scream series is becoming the parody of itself after originally intended to be a parody of horror films.

Time is a flat circle

Its more like 'Hollywood likes repeating the same shit as long as it makes money.'

See the recent Halloween trilogy with Jamie Lee Curtis returning for a fifth, sixth, and seventh time.
It's partly the peoples fault too.. original stuff isn't making money at the movies (various reasons) so why not churn out nostalgic things ... it's a good business model, just shitty for consumers

Scream 6 made around $100 million profit, without Neve Campbell.

As for nostalgia, it depends. Deadpool/Wolverine has made $1.3 billion, and I'd say that was a good example of nostalgia.

Bringing back scream queens well past their expiration dates? Well for horror sequels with semi-low budgets it seems to work unfortunately.

I'll be honest I haven't watched anything since Scream 2 lol

Daniel Day-Lewis is making his return to feature acting with his son at the helm. Day-Lewis is set to star in the film Anemone from first-time director Ronan Day-Lewis.

Hailing from Focus Features and Plan B, the movie marks Daniel Day-Lewis’ first acting role since 2017’s Phantom Thread, which the Oscar-winning performer had said would be his final project before retiring.

The father and son duo co-wrote the script that explores family bonds, specifically those involving fathers, sons and brothers. Sean Bean, Samantha Morton, Samuel Bottomley and Safia Oakley-Green round out the cast.

“We could not be more excited to partner with a brilliant visual artist in Ronan Day-Lewis on his first feature film alongside Daniel Day-Lewis as his creative collaborator,” Focus Features chairman Peter Kujawski said in a statement. “They have written a truly exceptional script, and we look forward to bringing their shared vision to audiences alongside the team at Plan B.”

Among the creative team are director of photography Ben Fordesman, costume designer Jane Petrie and production designer Chris Oddy.

Universal Pictures International will distribute internationally for Focus.

Ronan Day-Lewis, 26, is a filmmaker and painter whose upcoming solo exhibition debuts in Hong Kong on Wednesday.

Daniel Day-Lewis is a three-time Oscar-winning actor who is considered among the best of his generation. He won the Academy Award for best actor for My Left Foot, There Will Be Blood and Lincoln.

He also earned Oscar nominations for his roles in In the Name of the Father, Gangs of New York and Phantom Thread.

In a statement issued in 2017, Day-Lewis announced his retirement from the craft. “Daniel Day-Lewis will no longer be working as an actor,” the message read at the time. “He is immensely grateful to all of his collaborators and audiences over the many years.”

COMPANION Teaser Trailer Invites You to Experience a New Kind of Love Story

Rumor Says ‘Captain America: Brave New World’ Flopped During Test Screenings

Although fans are obviously glad to see Sam Wilson climb up the Marvel hierarchy, there are many of those who still desire Chris Evans. Much like the other big Marvel heroes, they cannot picture anybody else playing their beloved superhero. This is why the movie has a very difficult starting point.

On top of that, the production has been plagued by many issues, with there being reshoots and rewrites that changed the movie significantly, as it seems. The movie is not far from being released, and according to World of Reel, the initial test screening for the movie was quite disappointing.

Sucks because Mackie is pretty based.

Henry Cavill to Star in Amazon MGM Studios' Live-Action VOLTRON Movie with Rawson Marshall Thurber Directing

Amazon MGM Studios’ giant robot Voltron movie is getting a man of steel. Henry Cavill, the Superman actor and star of The Witcher, has come aboard to topline in the live-action feature based on the mecha anime that Rawson Marshall Thurber is directing.

The actor joins Daniel Quinn-Toye, the newcomer who impressed the studio and director with his West End work opposite Tom Holland, in leading the roll call.

Voltron is based on the Japanese sci-fi series Beast King GoLion and Kikou Kantai Dairugger XV. World Events edited and dubbed the series as a syndicated show, naming it Voltron: Defender of the Universe, which ran in the mid-1980s. The premise centered on five young pilots in a battalion named the Robot Lions, which are vehicles that join together to form a mega-robot known as Voltron.

The plot details for the new version is unclear. Thurber wrote the script with Ellen Shanman.

Producing are Todd Lieberman via Hidden Pictures, World Events Productions’ Bob Koplar, Thurber and Hobie Films’ David Hoberman.

Cavill appeared in two action thrillers this year, Matthew Vaughan’s Argyle for Apple Original Films and Guy Ritchie’s The Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare for Lionsgate. He also had an audience-cheering cameo in this summer’s Deadpool & Wolverine.

The muscular actor reunited with Ritchie for action thriller In the Grey, which will also star Jake Gyllenhaal and Eiza Gonzalez, and is due to star in Chad Stahelski’s long-in-the-works reboot of Highlander, which shoots next year. He is also exec producing a take on the Warhammer 40,000 franchise across all Amazon MGM Studios productions.

LFG!!

Emily Bett Rickards is starring in a biopic about a female pro wrestler.

Which I will admit I am posting about solely so I can make the following comment:

If I had a nickel for every time an Arrow alumni starred in a pro-wrestling centric project… I would have two nickels. Which isn't a lot, but it's weird that it happened twice, right?

That being said… damn! Look at the guns on Felicity!

I guess she wanted to make up for all those years of being the only one who didn’t get to show off the work she put in at the gym.
