Mousasi's resume

I just said why. Because his resume isn't as great as you guys say it is. Got dominated by prime jacare. Lost to machida. Lost to freaking Uriah hall by finish. Went to a draw with Keith Jardine of all people. Laid on by king mo. His biggest wins are over guys that weren't in their prime.

His resume is good, not great. And far from a best ever resume when he never touched gold in the biggest org.
He's 47-7-1 and has beaten Uriah Hall, Jacare, and Machida. To fight that many times is rare, I think you are being too harsh. He's an all time great in any weight class in my opinion

Its always easy to discredit his wins and mock his losses.. MWs like Rockold, Moose, Bisping, Romero, Belfort, Franklin all have good, not great resumes. But I think Mousasi's career and record is at least as impressive as most other Top MWs.
I'm not trying to discredit his wins. I genuinely do not think beating far past prime fighters is some huge accomplishment, just because they still have name value. I'm fair in applying this logic too. It's the same reason I don't have stipe as hw goat despite all his wins.

Nobody can stay motivated for 77 fights + he had 2 torn ACL's and arm injuries. Let's see how will Jones and Israel fight after 50 more fights
Izzy already have more fight than mousasi.

I don’t per se disagree, but its hard to make a top 5 and not think of Mousasi imo.

Mousasi’s longevity alone makes him a legend in the sport.

Let’s not like act like he wouldn’t have beaten Bisping for the title had the UFC given him that title shot.

And let’s stop acting like he left because he was scared or because he thought he couldn’t win the belt. All of you dudes would take the higher paying job that puts less strain on your body 7/7 days a week. It’s just common sense. Mousasi has said this numerous times, “legacy” doesn’t do anybody any good once they’re retired.

Legend MMA fighter inside the cage. GOAT MMA investor outside the cage.

He didn't beat a slow sloppy justin so he's not the goat

He's like Mighty Mouse. He's not willing to play Dana's WWE character games to appeal to the low IQ MMA fans. He's just a great fighter.
Could it be that he lost in multiple main events in the ufc that was the actual issue?

the best way to objectively prove that is to name 5 fighters who have better resumes and accomplished more, which is rather easy.

silva, adesanya, hendo, weidman, bisping, whittaker, rockhold

take your pick
Not at all, you seem to be leaving out losses for some reason and number of fights. If you look closely, all those guys listed have plenty of wins over poor fighters as well

Need to see Mousasi vs Adesanya asap.
It would be a sanctioned execution by Izzy. He would literally stop him inside of ten minutes and take next to zero damage. Don’t waste Izzy prime on a guy who lost three main events for the ufc when they tried to give him the push

wins over poor fighters doesn't make your career. your wins over good fighters does. all of those guys have better wins on their resume at 185

I would put Anderson, jacare, Rob, rockhold, and Romero above him just off the top of my head

Also Bisping for sure

Fuck the UFC for not willing to pay a legend like him. Wasn't asking for a crazy amount either.

There is no way Rockhold has a better resume than Mousasi. He's been knocked out 5 times, Mousasi has been stopped only 4 times in 56 fights, compared to 21 for Rockhold. One of Rockhold's best wins is against Bisping who he also got knocked out by.

Weidman has a razor thin resume which includes a ko loss to Mousasi. 15-5 just doesn't cut it

Also Bisping has a razor thin resume compared to Mousasi as well. Two close wins over Anderson Silva who was well past it, and Dan Henderson who Mousasi beat in a minute. Who else? Rockhold who also finished him, and Bisping deserved an extra loss to Matt Hamill let's be honest

rockhold was top 10 p4p after destroying weidman and bisping. bisping lost, but got his win back against rockhold, again, a top 10 p4p fighter. mousasi hasn't beaten a single top 20 p4p fighter as far as i know.
