Most humiliating defeat in an UFC's title fight

Tapping to strikes is the cowards way out. Especially when you tap to strikes as much as shogun.
That attitude is a good way to end up not rembering your address at 50. For what? Pride? Tge respect if sociopaths on the crowd don't give a fuck about your well being? I'd rather a guy just acknowledge it when he knows he's lost and say "no mas".

Silva/Franklin was bad but Couture/Ortiz takes the cake.

Well the winner has to be a huge underdog or simply way below the actual level of the champion. So in my eyes fights like Jones-Shogun, Silva-Weidman, Conor Aldo or vs Alvarez etc. don't count.

Serra beating GSP up so severely that he made him tap to strikes is just so bad. Serra is not even 1/10th of the fighter GSP is and should have never been a champion in a million years.

Travis Lutter almost beat Silva the same night. That would have been insane.

Brock vs "Mur" 2 @ UFC 100 for me. Beat him up really bad, taunted him after the fight, and went home and laid on sable after drinking a coors light.

This was a rough one because Mir began drinking his own koolaid during his fight camp. He was so absolutely sure that he would beat Lesnar, and Lesnar just beat the absolute shit out of him with ease, then got in his face... in front of his dad. Oof.

I feel like most of the people in here don't really understand what a humiliating fight looks like. This is one, despite the outcome.

Ronda Nunes
GSP Penn 2

To mention some that haven't already been said

Nunes Penia 1 was also whack, did she sell that fight

Conor vs Aldo?

Ronda vs Holm?

Jones vs Gane?

Silva vs Weidman ?

other ?
Stipe getting living deathed by Frank after sherdog had Stipe beating Ngannou sensless for 5 rounds in the first fight.

not sure if title, or mentioned- but arlovski leaping like a dervish at fedor was pretty embarrassing..

Not UFC... But...

I Just remembered how sad was liam mcgeary/phil davis at bellator

That was excruciating for both mcgeary who had nothing for Davis and for the fans... Because that fight was boring as hell

Lol how is losing to an arguable GOAT the most humiliating?
It's not. Most fans at this point realized that Shoguns knees were held together mostly by spit and glue. It's insane that Shogun continued to fight for like 10 more years. The last time Shogun looked good was against machida both times.
