I like the Marcy stuff as entry pieces. Good prices for quality equipment. Had the combo smith machine for years and it stayed functional even after sitting in flood water for 3 days. Sold it for a bigger rack.

Check out style 5!
Pair of 45s for 75, probably written wrong and is a single but says pair
They bumped it to $95. Still a hellova grab for machine loading weight. Have 10 of those. They are all in 44-46lb range. Great for carries, overhead tri press and oblique leaning too.

They have the Eliko Open Trap Bars at my gym. I really enjoy using them; much less wear and tear on my joints than a standard Oly Bar.
I saw someone doing rows with one of those and thought I’d try it out. The cap one is affordable but I’d prefer a solid weld type bar like you describe

Yeah, I'm lucky in that one of the gyms I train at is owned by Edinburgh University. They are the biggest private landowner in the city, so money is no object. They refitted the Cardio Gym last year with £1 Million of new kit, and that's just one of half a dozen gyms in the same building.

The main gym for heavy lifting has all it's kit supplied by Eliko: bars, cages, platforms etc.

That's one hell of a setup, jealous!

It's a very good gym. The only drawback is it can get very busy. Especially in the morning, when the stidents use it before starting class.

The first time I had to wait for equipment at a commercial gym I was very aggravated after building my own gym

I'm so used to going to the gym at 4am and using whatever i want, going any other time throws me off having to wait

When you grabbed it and pulled on frame, I thought it was coming over. Was more sturdy under use than expected. Back when they were half the price of now, I bought 2 Titan wall mounted pulleys and bolted one on each side of door. Always out the way, and portion of the price of a large X-over set up.
That one seems to be a good pick up for under $200.
