These people are not small timers they are high level writers. People from Slate, Huff Post and the Nation have called from a change in party leadership.

Many feel that President Obama spent to much time pointing the blame at others while not taking on more effort to pressure companies. They don't let Harry Reid and Nancy Pelosi off the hook ether. They are calling to remake Congress top to bottom.

They said during Obama time as President over a 1,000 State and Senate seats were lost. It's not looking good right now for the Democratic party and they want real change.

Is Obama really going to take the entire Democratic party down with him?

No I really think he is to cozy with Wall Street. Elizabeth Warren to far to the left the only guys is likely Tim Ryan, Seth Moulton, Heidi Heitkamp and a few others all relatively new and have ties to midwest or military. There are a few from California but have cozy situation with Barbara Boxer or Nancy Pelosi.

How much of the Dem losses can be attributed to partisan district-drawing?

I kind of agree. The party needs a shake up and some new blood would be good. Reid leaving is good, and Pelosi should retire. I like the idea of Obama using life after office to start building the next generation of liberal leadership.

Not as much as the dems wish
    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/United_States_Senate_elections,_2014

See that, senate cannot really be gerry mandered. Of course, small states benefit, but why can't dems win in small states? See how many seats they lost.

Pelosi should be gone. The fact that she is not does point at a reluctance or inability to learn.

This election wasn't lost because of their leadership but because of liberalism in general.

It's unfortunate that their only real shot was Bernie and they rigged the system against him.

I would definitely say; tear the Democratic party up, top to bottom, don't even run anyone next election, distance from Hillary and Obama and in 8 years come back strong with a real platform, not a obsolete one like with what they've been running on. They get exposed was too easily, especially with all the corruption.

Someone needs to make a middle party. Most people I know believe in things on both sides but feel like they have to pick a hole. Go get gay married I don't care but don't take away my guns for example.

It scares the shit out of you that we might appoint someone who actually believes in people power and organizing to the DNC chair doesn't it?

The truth is that you like it when your opposition is incompetent corporate Dems.

An actual populist movement scares you to death.

Why should the DNC change? Why not have these socialists start their own party?

It's Valley money much like Hollywood money. Hollywood believes if you keep pushing their agenda everything will be fine.:) As long as Nancy raising millions of dollars no one getting her spot.
