This was also from Slate.
"Over the eight years of Barack Obama’s presidency, the party has suffered historic losses at the state and local levels. Some of this was the result of poor party leadership from Obama and other figures in Washington; some was demographic, as the Democratic Party relies more on a young, diverse, and less consistent electorate; and some was the final leg of the South’s transition to an almost solid red."
"some was demographic, as the Democratic Party relies more on a young, diverse, and less consistent electorate"
thats why theyre wrong
the DNC wins when they have convinced everyone that they stand for the working class, not just minorites and women. theres a theme that republicans are white males and and the DNC is everyone else
that doesnt work, theres no argument behind it. its just anger, name calling and feelings. bernie was the only one who actually described a plan and a reason of why people should vote for him (though i disagree with socialism.) Hrod77's campaign was "women! minorities! the other guy is a sexist racist!"
trumps platform isnt perfect. huffpo and slate couldve written articles about what is wrong with his economic plan, they couldve wrote an article about hillarys plan to make a tax surplus like bill did. instead they literally wrote "WTF GOP Racist Sexist Xenophobic Demagogue"
They want to be the populist party, but they made fun of the "poorly educated" when donald says he loves those people. Hillary even wanted to run a "poor donald" campaign, saying that he is poor. well if a guy flying in a fleet of private jets, to a giant golden tower with his name on it, is poor, what do you think about the constituents you want to represent??
