Monthly odd lifts competition

If that's not legit, I don't know what is.

Post more though.

*sulks because people are playing his favourite game but he can't join in*

Ok I'll accept that. But you should still post more.

Tried the 2 hands anyhow today. Went for 75lbs barbell and 65lbs dumbell but could not stand up with the dumbell. This was way harder than I thought it would be. I used a rear lunge technique to reach down for the dumbell. So I tried it with 65 and 65 and got it with lots of struggle. 130lbs total, wilkes...38.

Nice.

375 lb straddle DL, Wilks 103.7. I like this lift.

2 hands anyhow with dumbbells: 35lbs and 30lbs.... this is harder than I thought!

I think that my goal for this lift is for the lighter one to be 50. That would be badass.

So far: 65lbs total, with a wimpy wilks of 25.9 (ha!)

lol the sway_dizzle, i have a 2003 pbn account and on any other forum thats my name too. it throws people off a lot

I'm trying it tomorrow, and don't see it going well.

Nice job sway_dizzle.

Is the straddle DL 1handed? If it is, Klotz has a SICK grip.

I doubt it. Why would you do it one handed?

And that would be SICK.

Didn't that used to be a long-time-ago strongman event?

Well, using 2 hands facing sideways (i.e. facing the plates) is damn hard since the bar twists on the way up. I'm thinking of re-trying this facing forward.

I tried the 2 handed anyhow, couldn't come close to pushing the weights thanks to my fubar wrist but still got 20kgs each side (88lb total). Was really fun, wish I could really go after this lift.
