Montano DecLa Rosa calls for higher pay

The expenses are totally different.

So? The highest paid female hockey/baseball player only makes 25k a year. Most make closer to 10k a year. Even with expenses, WMMA fighters in the UFC make more then that. And those sports have been around far longer

There are male fighters ten times as skilled as her making $3k to show and $3k to win against actual skilled opponents, and there are even female fighters vastly better than de la Rosa making a fraction of what she does.

Not in the UFC

Not in the UFC

True. In the UFC, there are male fighters merely 100 times as skilled as de la Rosa making the same or less money than her. And fighting 1-3 times prior to being cut. Whereas DLR has had 3 fights already and will be sticking around for a long time.

That’s not a lot of money! It’s a pathetically small amount of money for a professional athlete to make.

I wish UFC fighters made more but for the vast majority it’s a part time job and passion.

Fighting in the UFC doesn’t mean you’ve made it in life.
For female athletes that is actually very good pay. I just looked it up and they only get between 50-100k in the WNBA for the year.

I do agree though that the lower and Midlevel fighters should be paid better in the UFC. Maybe change the payouts too so half their fucking earning isn't dependent on winning

LOL yeah, she should go make 2k a fight in Bellator. Bellator pays every fighter that is not well known pennies

\duh i knwo that and ive commented here how the ufc haters crush the ufc about 12k but not for bellator 2k format.

She needs PPV points and piece of the stock too.... hahha

She said in her postfight interview she wants to fight out her current contract so she can start getting paid what she feels “a top 10 fighter deserves”.

I don’t know what she’s getting paid now but I have to imagine it’s not nearly enough. She has to pay for her training camps, flights, training partners, and all that makeup.

She’s also an Ultimate Fighter winner and made Kaseem look like a white belt on the ground as she Khabibed her into submission.

What does a talented top ten (likely) future title contender worth? All top ten fighters in the UFC should be getting at least 40/40 imo.

I hope my question doesn’t make you angry.

But when you said all Top 10 fighters should get 40/40, are you including the Women’s Strawweight division in your suggestion?

Honestly... Everyone is underpaid. Including Montana. In fact those TUF contracts are bullshit. They should do away with that show. Or at least do it every three years instead.

I was only talking about the WMMA divisions. I think they deserve $40 a fight and an extra $40 if they win. Seems fair to me it’s not like you have to even train to be good.

Its worse then 2k a lot of the time. Some Bellator fighters make $800 to show and are made to sell their own tickets

Did De La Rosa call for better pay though? I thought she just wanted to fulfill her Tuf contract as quickly as possible, so that she could negotiate a new deal. I'm not sure how the tuf contract differs from a normal run of the mill first contract anyway, it starts at 10k rather than 12k I guess and maybe lasts longer?

Anyway her comments did her no harm as she got the bonus after she made them. Also Dana seems to want to match her up with VanZant.

She’ll probably get shelfed after speaking out

To be honest, I didn't know she was a TUF winner

Dana White wipes his ass with more money than he pays 99% of the roster, it is what it is, i guess we'll see how this thing plays out...

all undercard fighters have to sell tickets and if they cant sell enough they not allowed to fight on a bellator card.
