You do know most pro athletes make nothing close to NBA/NHL/NFL/MLB/Soccer right? Especially pro women athletes. 81k is MORE then the average WNBA player makes a year, and WAY more then then every pro female hockey player, baseball player or soccer player makes

She got $14k show $14k win $50k bonus and $3.5k Reebok pay. Total of $81.5 for the fight. Is 14/15 low? I’ve never heard of her so I don’t know.

14/14 is about as low as the UFC pays anyone anymore

I don’t know what she’s getting paid now but I have to imagine it’s not nearly enough. She has to pay for her training camps, flights, training partners, and all that makeup.

She’s also an Ultimate Fighter winner and made Kaseem look like a white belt on the ground as she Khabibed her into submission.

What does a talented top ten (likely) future title contender worth? All top ten fighters in the UFC should be getting at least 40/40 imo.

She's on a 3 fight win streak, all dominant finishes, and if she keeps winning at the end of her contract, she should ask for, and expect, a raise. If not, there'll be other options. The expenses are totally different.

Even if that's true, you'd expect top 10 fighters to make decent money in the premier mma organization. Even minor league athletes in other sports are making more.

I can't hate on Montana de la Rosa too much, since she made me and literally EVERY SINGLE OTHER GAMBLER in the gambling subforum a ton of money yesterday, as her against Kassem was one of the most ridiculous mismatches we've seen in the UFC in some time, and as only a roughly -250 favorite.

THAT being said,

1) DLR is a mediocre female fighter who faced literally the single worst fighter on the entire UFC roster yesterday. Her other wins were against Ostovich and Marks, two fighters with losing records who were/are among the very worst fighters on the entire UFC roster.

Oh, and the fight against Ostovich was fairly close and competitive until Ostovich simply gave up in the 3rd round, as she always does.

2) Despite this, she is getting paid over $30k per fight from her contract and Reebok money alone, AND made a great $81,000 from yesterday's fight with the bonus, more than most people make in a year.

There are male fighters ten times as skilled as her making $3k to show and $3k to win against actual skilled opponents, and there are even female fighters vastly better than de la Rosa making a fraction of what she does.

3) Conclusion? De la Rosa should thank her lucky fucking stars she is making as much as she is, and stop being an ungrateful brat.
