Dude you’re 4 ranks away from unlocking the last mission

Got my 3rd augment for the Jagras Hacker. It’s pretty beasty.

I'm only rank 46 and the only thing keeping me still interested is farming for different weapon styles and trying out their action. I tried dual blades and even bought the Diablos ones and got absolutely destroyed compared to long sword or great sword. Now I am trying this Great Axe with the power Phials and its freaking beastly.

I'm definitely ready for GOD OF WAR soon though. There's not even a thread on it on this forum pretty sad...

Hunter rank 90, the final push to 100 begins. I’ve got all the augments I want for various weapons. Gonna limit break my armor i think and level it up the next 10 ranks.

they got a 9* mushroom quest in the events area where you can farm tempered monster tracks for tempered investigations and a new area quest to unlock a pair of sunglasses

what do sunglasses give you???

Was finishing up the weekly bounty for Val Hazaak and got a Gem on my last gold investigation so decided to level up a Laviathons Fury. Was able to get Handicraft IV with a HC Charm II and the Death Stench legs. I can pump it Handicraft V with the Daora hands or wait to level the HC Charm to level III since I already have a Xeno Gem in the bank and just need to get to HR49 to get access to the Dragoncore Ore and top off my optional quests to get the Research Commondation.

Doesn't have as much raw damage as the Nerg GS, but the White Sharpness is nice, and getting Handicraft V should make a nice boost as well. Haven't had a chance to play around with it much so looking forward to getting some smashing done.

White sharpness is a 10% damage boost which usually puts it over the Nerg GS. Went back to this after using the Jagras Hacker and the hacker hit noticeably harder in every way. Too bad it’s so damn ugly and I had to play 200 hours to get the items needed to make it good lol

Been doing some reading and all the numbers show that the Jargas Hacker III is the best GS in the game for raw damage with Non-Element Boost outpacing Handicraft V and the ability to be augmented 3 times for only being Rarity 6. I will probably move in that direction eventually, but I'm only HR41 so I can't augment my weapons yet.

Ok HR 100. That last quest was a joke with a team. Since it’s 3 monsters, they all have no HP, so if you’re familiar with their move set you just fuck them.

Experimenting with an infinite white sharpness build on a GS and I must say it’s better than the Jagras. It uses the armor perk of Teostra which causes your weapon to not lose sharpness when you get a critical hit, and the rest of the build is about stacking critical skills so every hit is a crit almost. It’s pretty awesome.

Clearing all of the Optional Quests so I can unlock the "White Winds of the New World" quest and get the Research Commision Ticket for the last rank of the Handicraft Charm. Hot damn do I hate Uragaan! He's not even hard, but damn is a bastard. For as big and lumbering as he is, he's so mobile with his damn roll, prime attack windows are shut down with him leaving bombs all over the god damn place, and Bazelegeuse seems to show up all the time. His damn tremor is really anoying too, but because he's not really hard and I'm not farming him, it's not worth the hassle of building a tremor resist set just for clearing a few quests.

On my last quest I had for him I did manage to snag a Ruby, so I thought "Great, at least I can make something rare off of him". Go to the Workshop and look at what's available...... garbage.

I feel like this answer is obvious but I cant wrap my head around it

If you add a skill to a piece of armor, does it give you the skill? And do they stack?

Like, I want to build my paralysis set. Can I add "thunder attack" to armor and have those two stack?

There are a certain amount of slots a skill can take up in your loadout. For example, weakness exploit has 3 slots. Wearing the dragonking eyepatch which has 2 WE points and throwing in a tenderiZer gem which gives one point will maximize the amount of weakness exploit you can use. Therefore anything else with WE will be wasted. Thats just an example

Fucking hate Uragaan too, he’s like a mix of Bazel and Radobaan, two other monsters I hate

Ended up finishing all of the quests, but couldn't get the "White Winds of the New World" quest to trigger. Found out I was missing some Special Arena's, but wasn't sure which ones I was missing. Ended up jumping in on an SoS and knocked it out and got the Research Commision Ticket and picked up a Wyvern Gem I was missing on the path to the Rathlos Glin Great Sword, now just need 1 Azure Rath Tail which will be easy peasy. That will be the last piece of gear I need once I hit HR49 and finally unlock Tempered Kirin. Just hit HR46, so should hit HR49 and have some time with Tempered Elder Dragons for a few weeks before Ni No Kuni 2 comes out on the 23rd. Still have a lot of monster hunting left in me, but could use a break.

Don't really care about the cross over costumes since they're pretty low end gear, but excited to see the Deviljho gear.
