Multiplat Monster Hunter World

Don't really care about the cross over costumes since they're pretty low end gear, but excited to see the Deviljho gear.

Heard some comments that this will be a set that will at least be competitive at endgame. Not sure how true that is. We'll also probably have another armor set plus some weapons from Deviljho, so there's that.

I hope they release like a proper dlc, i don't really fancy going back to the game to hunt 1 new monster but it is cool that it's free.

They'd be crazy not to cash in on a full paid DLC. It sold way more copies than expected and hooked a lot of new fans. Not even counting a G Rank, I'm sure a Tundra biome has to be slated for release since it's been in every other MH that I can remember. Add to that all of the other monster assets they already have built from previous games that just need to be reworked for MHW. That alone could add a ton of longevity, but I think a bulk of keeping people playing long term is adding G-Rank and more endgame content.

This game really is lacking content compared to the others which supposedly have hundreds and hundreds of hours of content. The only thing that’s kept me playing is weapon grinding at this point.

yeah it's quite boring...

I hit past level 100 on Monday and finished the last mission last night. It was pretty easy and the people I rolled with had cute trick. They knew exactly when each tempered monster was going to show up so they pre-loaded an area with huge barrel bombs. I followed along and it was fun as shit blasting the living hell out of them as soon as they showed up. Sometimes they would flash the monster as they flew in so they'd land right where the bombs are.

anyway.. anticlimactic fight. I am interested in one more build and after that i'll be done with this game till the new DLC drops. God of War is about to drop anyway and I still got Yakuza 0 to finish.

should I get it (yakuza 6) considering yakuza 0 is my very first one? I want to play them in order.

Yeah, I was really disappointed when they said they weren't going to have a G-Rank, which is essentially the end game content. I imagine it's going to be paid DLC down the line along with a new biome and monsters. I haven't put in the hours as many hours as a lot of guys in this thread, so grinding away for loot/upgrades hasn't lost it's luster quite yet. I feel like a lot of the community has started to peak out, so if they don't announce more content soon they're going to start losing their base.

They all run in order so I'd hold off on 6 until you play 1-5 Yakuza 0 is just set before part 1.

Apparently they’re balancing weapons as well? Does that mean they are going to nerf every build into shit and make us grind another 200 hours for new ones?

the list of changes is out and it looked m9re like they beefed up attacks to fall in line with other weapons. Skimmed most but mostly looked for the GS changes. Literally all the changes were increasing attack power of the other charges so people don't spam to the true charge.

I like those IG changes. Nothing worse than mounting a monster and when you knock it down you've lost all extracts.

The lance may seem shitty, but I safely did 8k damage to an anjanath while the charge blade user carted twice and stayed at camp till I killed it.

that can be due to the cb player not using it right and the lance having the best defense in the game. I saw a video of a guy killing a teostra just letting his palico do all the work and just buffing it and playing a support role.

I'm surprised I don't see more Lance users. I don't want to say the Lance is easy mode, since there are movement mechanics you have to overcome moving slow and getting into proper attack positions, but you can attack safely behind your shield with little worry of taking huge damage.

Made a bow, the Nergigante one. Seems pretty good, definitely a viable weapon. Making one good weapon from each category and hopefully that carries me to the DLC

That’s an insane amount of resources still. I am planning on mastering 3-5 weapons with builds and then just farm till the DLC. Then I’ll have the resources ready for whatever I see becomes the Meta.

Did anyone know you can craft armor and power talons from the charms you get from the provisions dude and then go and buy the charms again and the effects stack? Just what I needed to get my base damage over 1200 with the Jagras Hacker.
