I’ve just passed through regular Nergigante through co-op, but I keep getting one-shotted, and I’ve single handedly fucked up a few other players games because of it.
My Zorah Magderos armour is no longer viable, but the high-tier armours are expensive and take so long to get...
I have Fates Ember right now, which isn’t bad at all.

Have you upgraded your armor fully? That could explain the lack of defense. Or not eating at the canteen for health. What’s Fates Ember?

Fates Ember is the Odogaron LBG, second to last upgrade. Rapid fire normals 1 and 2, and spread 1, with I think 30% affinity.
I just went Lance instead and got myself a Nergal Impaler. I'm going for the Urugaan full armor set as well...or Legianna set for bowgunning...

Karma is the best Normal ammo craftable lbg.

Yeah, the Garon Rifle was my breakthrough lbg and I'll be looking to upgrade it to the end. Plus I like how easy the game has made it to capture.
I'm just doing the odd multiplayer quest here and there at high rank right now. I have to do more tracking at some point...

Got back into playing this recently. My next hunt is for Anjanath which is the only monster so far that has carted me when i've met it on other hunts.
I switched from long sword to bow recently which i feel relatively proficient in it's usage. Any tips for when i hunt Anjanath?

Anjanath was the first wall for me too, so I upgraded my gear, got a LBG, planted a bunch of mines down for it to run over and shot up its underbelly from the back. Go bone line for rapid fire normal shot
Use traps as well. Mix trap tools with thunderbugs or nets (ivy and web). Capturing is easier than finishing a monster off in this game as well. Just lay a trap to it when it is sleeping, wake it up and switch to tranq shot or bombs when it sets off the trap.
I had a bit of a breakthrough this morning and completed and maxed out my Legiana set. I'm going to gem it for pure evasion and use it with my Karma LBG. it's also quite a good guard armour because of divine blessing, so I used it with my Nergal Impaler to take out Teostra. I'm aiming for a full set of Urugaan though...

Quite into this at the moment. Last hunt was for Paolumu which didn't cause me many problems. Encountered a Diablos on a few expeditions i've joined which causes me nightmares and soiled pants. No hope of beating that one right now.

I used a light bowgun and shot Diablos from afar with pierce rounds, as it repeatedly ran over my mines. I died twice though and don’t like fighting it in general.
Capture it so you don’t have to fight it at the last stage.

Head to a camp and go inside the tent, you can change your armor and weapons there as well as access your inventory.

I finally failed a quest against Diablos which wasn't exactly unexpected. Got him on the second try but used up a lot of resources and just scraped by him. I'm up to the HR Anjanath now and I'm terrified to take him on. Not the easiest battle in LR and I had some trouble with HR Tobi Kadachi so I'm not feeling confident.

Barely had to grind at all for those, I'm damn near set for my weapons, just need to work on decorations and armor. Nergigante is standing in my way but I don't think he stands a chance against these builds. Hopefully the high Elderseal works out for me.
