Idk what will happen with the UK PPV card next year, but they could do Aspinall defending his title against another top five(idk who lol) and put this is the co-main.
Two UK champs, one being a heavyweight champ will help bring a few more eyes.

They're going to have to do something like that to keep it from being a main event, and that's a hard sell to tell Aspinall to defend an interim title unless they let him beat up Stipe and fight Jones after.

Not sure the UK cards do particularly well with ppvs because of the time, but it'll at least help with live gate.

It's a bummer that the next contender is a guy nobody cares to watch, but that's half Leon's fault for also being boring. People would still want to watch if just 1 of them had a personality or a fan friendly style, but neither of them do, so just stick it on a prelim card and just get it over with and hope the next opponent will sell the fight for you.

They just need to tack on another title fight on that card and yank the band aid off in one motion

I’m not sure how they are going to work around this. It would be a massive black eye on the company. Lawsuit level black eye actually. And if Belal and his lawyer win that lawsuit based on him being denied the TS due to his religion, roots, etc. That could be many $millions.

The UFC can’t get out of this one. So just make the fight, and move on. Not too many people think Belal can beat Edwards anyway.

Disappointing that Leon doesn't want Belal. Ya gotta fight all contenders if you want to be considered p4p. Say what you want about Usman but he fought anyone and everyone which is why he's 2nd next to GSP at WW for p4p. Leon won't ever get there cherry picking like he is plus like others have said, he was in Belal's spot a couple of years ago.
