So I've been pretty busy of late, work, getting kicked out of our home etc... And I have noticed my engagement with the sport is down.

Checked YouTube as I hadn't heard from my fav MMA channel (or any others) for some time. And the only videos on there are from 6+ months ago, looks like all content under free usage rights has been removed (copyright striked?).

I know YT had this copyright thing in Europe come through - is this the cost? It definitely has affected my engagement with the sport.

Probably old news - Meh :/

I loved MMADigest been subcribed for years and then he put something up recently that his channel has been de-monitised its outrageous
As far as I can remember he has always been careful about actual clips and is normally screenshots of fight
The guy was never a clickbait channel had quick updates, was funny and he is just an independent news channel so I dont see why the demonitisation

....what really bugs me out is...

That sherdog's own @FRITENITE 's youtube channel isnt anymore...

damienhls...it was

That guy put up a shit load of highlight videos...from orgs across the world, fighters and a lot more stuff...it was fantastic!!!
150+ Videos....gone...

Some of his stuff is still up at dailymotion...

Didn't MMA Digest almost only use footage from other media outlets? Happy they are gone

Nah he's more of an aggregate site like Rotten tomatoes. He'll use headlines from other sites, but it's not like he's taking credit for it.

Also he would actually occasionally do his own phone/skype interviews.

The real assholes are the ones that steal podcast clips and monetize them. One of them even tried to shut down MMA journalist James Lynch becasue he flagged them

Tommy Toe Hold seems dead, too.

MMA on Point and they guy that makes the crazy 1 minute animations are the future.

Tommy Toe Hold is actually with MMA on point now and he does or started autopsy videos like he used to except not a joke anymore or animated and uses his regular voice but hes good

Also, MMA on point are really good their content is great and loads of good ideas, the most annoying thing about UFC is how strict they are about any clips being used so its harder for them to make the videos as good as they could be and it pretty much has killed breakdown videos
In the UK now after boxing PPVs BT sport and Sky sports are now uploading the fights to youtube which makes sense as well because you cant buy the PPV after its finished anyways

Good luck with your home situation, I imagine that it's stressful.

Mma digest always had the good thumbnails and no click bait, easy to keep up with the sport through that channel.

Funny you posted this because I just went on YouTube on Monday looking for MMA Digest since I hadn’t see anything from that channel in a while, and I noticed it was dead. It was a great MMA news aggregation channel. I have noticed a lack of MMA news overall in my feed too.

UFC is way too strict with their videos. These channels give them great promotion.

BJJ scout has also been hit !

A copyright strike directly from the UFC, was on his facebook page

UFC being Nazi’s with their media content while at the same time owning damn near slave contracts and reaping all of their benefits.

UFC bears ownership to all of your likeness and you will not get a cent from it.

What ever happened to that mma cartoons guy.

Hope everything works out for you man
In my experience, dark times don’t last

And you know what’s funny, I would watch mmadigest every day
And I’ve not even noticed he’s gone, but you’re right

There was a time where I wouldn't miss an episode of Tommy Toe Hold. His Diaz impressions and comedy commentary had me hooked. Then after a while it just got stale.

Then I caught wind of his podcast Bushido Talk. He would drop it weekly with John Hackleman and a female blogger. It was a really good podcast, then Hackleman left and it just turned into 2 fans talking about Netflix.

Sad to see him fall off. He had potential.
