MLB MLB 2025 Season Thread: When half your roster needs a translator

Time to party like it's 1993.
Now I know why I wanted the Phillies to lose all those years ago.

Ughh that was hard to watch after such a great start. Hope the Jays can shake it off and get the W but you can never count out the Yanks.

This might go to Game 5 :(

After the early decent sized lead, I thought Yankees were gonna call the Blue Jays their daddy.

Bullpen game. Yanks got their groove back, and the Jays looked like a bunch of corpses after the Yanks tied it. It's going five.

21st Century Payroll
Yankees: $5,123,657,355 - 1 title
Marlins: $1,523,489,342 - 1 title

<lmao>

Forever pessimistic Toronto fan says that the Yankees are gonna get some get back tonight, and rout the Jays.

It would be wise to close it out tonight, though, since the Jays pitching gets sketchy after Bieber. Don't want to have to depend on Scherzer to turn back the clock in game 4.

scherzer wasn't even on the division roster, he wasn't eligible to pitch in the series.

I'm ashamed of my fellow Yankees fans. We were acting like Judge's home run yesterday, a game tying home run in the fourth inning while down 2-0 in the series, was like a top 5 playoff homerun in baseball history. It was beyond fucking stupid. And our bag of wind media was going along with it.

Ha well to be honest I was shakin in my boots after that too, I thought a big collapse was incoming from the Jays.

You also crushed the Red Sox and I hate them. I want them to lose every game and fold as an organization.

Also nothing wrong with having some faith in your team. When Judge farts in New York we smell it in Toronto

Yankees eliminated and another classic Kershaw postseason performance on the same night?

You'd think the Dodgers would learn to send Kershaw to Cancun in the postseason.

near the end of the game the yankees had the bases loaded and could have tied it up with a grand slam but they blew it.

blue jays nation baby!

First time I heard of what's now called bullpen game was when Gabe Kapler's Giants had an opener pitcher and now bullpen games seem common.

Kershaw did a good impression of Treinen with the shitty command and giving up too much offense.

Yeah, I caught that later. I don't pay much attention to the roster moves, LOL.

Anyways, solid win. Surprised the bullpen absolutely handled the Yanks. Good resilient bounce back game on the road, which is always good to see. No choke. No quit.

Other than that little hiccup in game 3, it was a perfect series for the Jays. If they play like that all playoffs, shit could get very serious. The offense was seeing beach balls all series long against some very good pitchers. Can't think of one weak spot they had.

Thinking I'd rather get the Tigers than the Mariners
