I would say that’s about right, right around 70.

There are still some sharp 65-70 year olds out there without such declining health issues.

65-70 they should e getting their career wrapped up and things ready for the person who is to replace them.

I would say after 70 they can stay in politics but must take to the sidelines as consultants or something. Make way for the new set of Rules and Regulations for the next generation.

They don’t want to retire because being in power and fucking everyone over is what gives their lives meaning. Most of them are rich or at least very well off and any normal person in their position would go enjoy a life of luxury and spend time with their grandkids. These aren’t normal people - they’re greed and power elementals.

With the ever increasing life expectancy, it's becoming more and more apparent that we need an age cap. But that's just shifting responsibility as well. Why in the 9 hells are political parties trotting out people who are clearly past their mental prime and why the fuck do Americans keep voting for them?

At this point, anyone that age isn’t there to write legislation, they are there to vote one way or another

I mean we as a country already conceded long ago that there are no standards at all for elected officials. If you were running a business, you wouldn't hire any of these people to work the cash register to ring up a $9 sale, but somehow everyone is fine with the $6 trillion federal budget being handled by people with brain damage, people with dementia, stroked out guys, and the younger people aren't any sharper than the ones with actual brain damage. We seem to have collectively admitted that it's not a real job, and they're just told by donors and lobbyists what to vote for anyway.
