TS, I beg to differ. I think Cormier will go far in the UFC.
 
So, do we get to see massive Mir in this one to try and capitalize on the size differential? He's never going to be close with speed so he might as well.

Mir is always dangerous on the ground and DC likes to bring fights there so this could be interesting.

Sure, Frank Mir is one of the most inconsistent heavyweights, has a weak chin, and has gotten destroyed by power wrestlers like Cormier in the past.. but whatever

Cormier likes to take his fights there? Every fight of his I've seen was standing, even when he's slammed his opponents he allows them back up.
 
Cornier beats Mir but he gets destroyed by Jones. I still don't understand the Mir call out, its like he wants to prove his a contender at HW then just drop to 205 and fight for the title even tho his untested at that weight.

UFC should say not to the Mir fight and make him fight a contender at LHW.

He punched Herring clear across the ring with a straight right. He was a very powerful wrestler too that would easily score takedowns no matter how technically "off" they appeared. Stop hating.
 
Mir's track record against wrestlers isn't stellar. I think it looks something like this...

Because he's still in the process of dropping weight so he can eventually move down to the LHW. Whilst doing that, he'll take another fight at HW to keep himself busy.
 
UFC fanboys are worse than the hipster MMA fans hyping and praising fighters in small promitions pretending they are as good or better than UFC fighters.

Cormier will destroy Mir, that's for sure.

The only thing Mir has tested more against top competition is his chin.
 
I've always liked Mir, he needs to stop training with his family at the gym. If and it's a big "if" he survives the first round he might have a chance.
 
Mir has looked sluggish and spaced out recently. Thats the perfect style fight for cormier to dominate.
IF frank can come in energized with a killer instinct, like the Kongo fight, he has a great chance. But its rare hes in that terminator mode.
