Mir beats Overeem in a boring fight..

Pressing him against the cage, not allowing power shots, staying in dominant positions where he can't get seriously damaged, why not?

Mir is not known for that.
If somehow the fight goes to the ground, he has a chance. Otherwise, no way.

And if Overeem loses this, with his two previous losses in mind, I'd say he should retire.
I can't see a more winnable fight for him than against Mir, really.

If Overeem didn't respect the striking of big foot or Browne, you know he won't respect Mir's stand up... And once yet again, that will be his undoing

Mir wins ko round 2

And I actually do want Overeem to win though

I don't know but someone's going to sleep within 5 minutes.

Do you think Mir will clinch and take Overeem down?

Low TRT Overeem probably is a lot stronger than Mir. Both have a terrible gas tank, but Mir can probably last a bit longer.

Still, it's hard to argue that Overeem won't win this fight. However, if someone can lose to an inferior opponent, it's Overeem.

I'd love to see Mir win but I give him no more than a 15% chance of doing so.

For 1 being in the clinch is not a favorable position for Mir. For 2 if they go against the fence I'd say Overeem will be the 1 pressing Mir.

Overeem is entirely too big and strong for Mir to try to put on the fence and dirty box. His best chance(and only in my opinion) is to get it to the ground and get a submission.

I got Overeem 1st rd TKO

Whatever TS was smoking when he posted that Mir beats Overeem I want some cause that stuff is mad ass.

Only two possible scenarios this fight ends.

Mir will try and stand with him to prove a point and get beaten senseless.
Mir tries to take him down, can't and ends up getting kneed in the stomach so hard he thinks he's back on Vegas Blvd.

Reem is probably the only one at HW with a worse china than Mir.

This is a really tough one to call.

To do that, he'd have to uncover his head and move within striking distance. After the last 2 fights, and the rest of his history, do you think he's going to roll the dice? I think a better blueprint for the fight is his latest Werdum encounter.

That's possible too, but I know he recently went back to Holland and worked a lot on his kickboxing. If he utilizes it like he did early in the Browne fight, Mir isn't gonna do too well.

I am a huge Mir fan.
Overeem dominates him! 5 years ago maybe not but today, absolutely. Frank hasn't looked good in a while and I think it's time.
