..based on ground control/clinch up against the cage. Nobody gets cut after that, 'cause they don't really want to lose Overeem and they have a few lower tier HWs to feed'em. Agree?

No idea what you said

Overeem destroys Mir in the clinch against the cage and gets a 1st round KO/TKO

So mir is gonna control one of the strongest hw in the division who is known for his brutal clinch?

No I don't. This will end in dramatic fashion one way or another.

Clinch up against the cage? Do you know who Overeem is?

Reem gets paid far too much for DFW & Co. to allow him to be a middle of the pack guy. Gomi? Sure. Kid? Sure. Hardy? Why not. SF champ and K1 champ who retired their cashcow Brock? No.

Pressing him against the cage, not allowing power shots, staying in dominant positions where he can't get seriously damaged, why not?

You may think I'm absolutely crazy but I'm going with Frank Mir by KO/TKO in Round one or two.

Mir's chin looks nearly Well Done i think Alistair will KO him in the 1st rd then Frank can have a gimme fight with someone outside of the top 10 & Overeem can fight Hunt or JDS either I hope your wrong about this fight being boring because I'll be there an the card already lost Cruz

I really dont see how mir can win this fight. Overeem has a great clinch and a great ground game. Mir is gonna have to land a hard shot. And capitalize quickly. But reem just starts to strong. I dunno.

aw man, don't worry, Faber will surely pull up a fight

I'm with you on that. Or at least that is what I'm hoping for

Mir is one of the fighters that started my obsession with MMA, I really don't want to see him retire on the note of getting brutally knocked out

I hope you're not trying to say that Mir will control Overeem in the clinch??? That is the worse position that Frank can be in this fight.

I don't agree at all. I say Reem gets Mir against cage and blasts him with knees in the Thai clinch much like Barnett did. Mir has had it, he's done. If Overeem loses to Mir, he should be signing with Bellator so he can win another championship that doesn't matter.

Why not? Because he's NEVER done that before. Carwin, Brock, Barnett ...hell, even LHW Brandon Vera bullied him in the clinch.

Not even taking into consideration that Overeem has manhandled some of the biggest HWs in the UFC in the clinch in Bigfoot and Travis Browne.

All the signs point to Mir needing to avoid the clinch like the plague or nullify the clinch by pulling guard when Reem gets it.

I get it about Overeem's clinch, but why does everyone discredit grapple-heavy clinching and tiring Overeem out? He's been fading in stand ups lately, and defensive grappling is more tiring.
