I agree with you. I think his only thought was he's clearly up first 3 rounds. 4th he probably lost. Just don't get finished in the 5th and he's the new champ. Hindsight lol

Reyes was exhausted. I don't think he was coasting so much as he was just dead tired.

Yup, at least that's one option. However, I think that they're actually waiting to see him sign a contract extension. Last thing they want is Ngannou beating the consensus GOAT and leaving as the HW Champion AND only man to genuinely beat Jones. Or having him sit out and play chicken with them.

That will cause havok, and the way Francis talks in the media, it sounds like that's where his head is.

So I think the Jones/Ngannou fight happens once they've secured that signature.

I know MMAth does not work, but I think Stipe beats Jones convincingly due to Jones recent performance. I believe he lost to Reyes, without question, and he arguably lost to Santos. Neither of those guys have gone on to do much after either. Moving up to HW is a mistake IMO but Jones may be on all the gear imaginable...his past suggests that he is.

Is Francis even all in with the UFC and defending that title currently?
I mean I would consider him champ until someone beats him but if he's taking his time to weigh his options the show must go on.
