Cause its right before Ngannou's contract rans out, wins Interim, Francis holds to his grudge with the UFC so gets stripped, Jones gets promoted to Undisputed.

PS: Not a fan of that co-main event, it serves no purpose other than the idea of another good fight but that matchup has no point.

Francis' contract runs out in December and then he's a free agent. He kind of has the UFC by the balls right now. Whoever wins interim title between Stipe and Jon on December 10th will probably be made undisputed champ if Francis leaves.

Beyond the injury, Francis's future with the UFC is very up in the air atm. It's been 8 months since the Gane fight and he hasn't signed any sort of extension. Dana said there were no further developments the last time he was asked about it.
