He was armed with a stolen gun, pointed said stolen gun at a cop and was shot for it and people are rioting. I must be missing what's so controversial about this shooting?

He was black..which, apparently is supposed to be some kind of a get out of jail free card?. I don't get it, i really don't.

It started back when he first took office, "the Cambridge Police acted stupidly" that's all I needed to hear. Then he releases a veiled apology when the facts come out and has his little beer summit.

No, I'm just saying they should let criminals run and not drop the gun when they tell them to, and when the event comes when said criminal uses that gun on someone and likely kills them (since black on black crime is rampant), then nobody will have a "cause".

Everyone should be like good ol' Peter Parker.

He did say he didn't know what happened and wasn't there right away, and acknowledged that the Prof of a good friend, so what he said was measured to that extent.
Wasn't a big fan of him commenting, but it wasn't as bad as the "... Could've been my son" comment.
 
Visited Milwaukee about 7 years ago. Beautiful city, clean, friendly people... This is just insane.
 
The law abiding majority need to be more vocal. They need to take a look at themselves and stand up and build their communities and culture. The sooner they quit playing the victim and start to look at themselves, then they can make progress.

Did blacks have and do they have a high start on the ladder of life in America? No. Setting shit on fire isn't going to change that. They have a president, MLK, Ali, countless sport stars and entertainment icons to look up to and aspire to. Nah, Imma wear saggy pants and be a "G".

Start to hold yourself in high regard and act civilised and people will look at you differently. Being angry and blaming the world gets you nowhere, as a single human or as a race.

Diversity is not the problem. The problem is a narrative that violent black criminals resisting arrest and subsequently being killed by cops is evidence of a society where black lives don't matter.

It sure as heck wouldn't be Obama, Rev. Jackson or Rev. Sharpton. Their job is fan the flames of racism. It gets Obama more votes. The other two profit off of it and literally pass an offering plate around at these racist BLM rallies.
