Military Roll Call! Veterans, GTFIH!

We just stole their president...

Have whatever political opinion you want...operationally that was amazing.
spent more money on military than can recover with the stolen oil, and the current president is a chavista from the same party as Maduro. Not to mention that you are now seen as the Fourth Reich by the entire planet, especially here in Latin America. Dollarization will accelerate because you're a retarded bully.

Let's all leave politics at the door please. There are plenty of places in the War Room to discuss the geopolitical ramifications of any military actions on the globe.

USCG MSRT ninjas been putting in work siezing those tankers... clean too. As far as I know no casualties either side.

Glad to see when some years back my fellow PCPOs from MSRT had to duck out on Chiefs Initation shit duties to "train" it paid off.

BZ you fucks.

I think their training center is still at Camp Lejeune. We used to mark out like teenaged girls seeing the M60.

@Mike Hagger @San Marino What time of the year did y'all do Ranger school? They started mountain phase this week and it's gonna get in the teens tonight here in north GA.

I started as a Soldier of Fortune. Then moved on to the "Rainbow" Six team. Me and a good mate were the best in the game you could find. Received Medal of Honor on my birthday...that was to be expected. Later in several Counter-Terrorist units such as GSG9, GIGN and SWAT, mostly focusing on preventing use of / or disabling explosive devices. This was my mainstay for many years. Later I also did a tour as regular infantryman, but also flew Harriers, Migs, Cobra and even a MI-24 Hind in several Battlefields. As for Modern Warfare, I was getting quite old by then and lost interest after the second tour, but certainly am still ready and able when I hear a Call of Duty. Don't count me out.

Winter Ranger students usually get to wear more clothing to stay warm and an extra MRE. I would say that is the hardest Phase since it is also in the middle of the school period. I'm sure the extra cold will make things miserable. You lose most people during the first week of training.

I think a lot of it has changed since 1992 with the addition of females going through the school. From what I hear, things are easier. Back in 1992 we had an extra Phase (Desert), which made the course longer.

Well they deserve to be cold since they got a break during Darby phase thanks to Xmas and New Years.

That's new!
It shows how things have changed.
As I recall, there was no Christmas break in the '80s and '90s. That would defeat the purpose of being under stress and losing weight.

Now, the U.S. Navy's BUD/S (SEAL) training allows for weekends and nights off. You don't get that at Ranger School.
Did you know Marcus Luttrell had his twin brother replace him in the course for 4 days? The instructors found out later and still let him graduate.

Bro if you’re comparing buds to ranger school that’s so far different in difficulty. Cmon. The only 3 hard things in the army are dive, selection and selection. Ranger school just sucked, 1/2 the ris were subpar ncos, I didn’t learn 1 thing other than you can be really tired and you can keep wondering around while some praying for his go a tm leader keeps getting you lost, on his way to a no go! I mean I did pre ranger, and had to study the ranger handbook like it was the bible before attending. Knowing the hasty planning, opord, patrol base priorities of work, battle drill 1a ect it’s kind of ingrained. Florida offered some new things i would say, OK, I learned some things.

The biggest thing is just having the tab, the rest of your career people respect it. Regardless how many recycles it took!!

I’m not downplaying it, kind of joking, it’s hard. But buds is in a different world in terms of suck.

That’s my opinion anyways.. the Q course was meh, maybe once or twice I was like this is hard most of the time it’s just dealing with egotistical cadre, being bored and doing academics.

Neither you or me have been through BUD/S.
I would say the only hard part of BUD/S would be 'Hell Week.' Now, five and a half days long (5.5 days). Only time candidates are really without any true food or sleep. Cold, wet, and sandy. Again, the rest of the time they normally get nights and weekends off. You don't get that in Ranger school (60+ days). No nights or weekends off, maybe a small break between phases. My issue is the 'suck' value of each school. 5 days compared to 60 days? Please!

Why is it that SEALs never mention their nights and weekends off during training?

No matter the school, 75% mental and 25% physical. Just my opinion.

It is irrelevant at this point and time. Ranger school is no longer what it used to be. BUD/S will face the same fate once females become part of it. Standards will be lowered.

I think attrition says a lot, buds destroys more dreams than ranger school and all the studs hit training prior that prepares them for their endeavor. Kind of the same with what the ccts pjs have going on. These guys are running 3mi in under 21min, passing the 500m open swim test, all those physical gates before arriving.

Pretty sure an Air Force cop was in my ranger class, I know a lot of support people were.

I dunno man seems like one’s a lot harder than the other, to me, at least.

But BUD/S is 6 months long. And no female has passed it yet whereas quite a few have graduated Ranger school.

PJ indoc might even be more insane than BUD/S even though it's "only" 9 weeks. Apparently it was replaced though. The documentary from like 20 years ago had a 90% attrition rate.

Pjs are legit, they have to plug in anywhere be good at trauma med and recovery. Lots of qualifications to keep up for them. The guard units do some crazy stuff, mountain rescues, water rescues, go to Thailand and save kids.

Pjs controllers and TACPs all share an indoc now, at least part of one.

In another life i would have gone PJ.
