He's an 03 with 3rd LAR and has a stack of like 12 ribbons. They said he was busted down to Cpl shortly after hitting his 8 year mark and then recently busted down to LCpl. Definitely a Marine's Marine though.I prefer the pic with his rack and the look on his face

I remember there was a pic of a Pfc. with a like 4 row in a waiting area

Right next to a Sgt with 2 ribbons
Great Marines down range tend to be not function in garrison... that poor bastard. How does an E-2 get through basic, tech school and have a rack like that in that short amount of time? Busted down? Was the barracks burning down and he saved everyone himself?

Oh. So he got busted down.Try combat, since he has two Purple Hearts, NAM with V, Combat Action Ribbon and Presidential Unit Citation
They become 11B's, or so I thought. They are already qualified as airborne infantrymen, so they typically go to those slots. If they become something else, they must have worked something with a recruiter to reclass into a different MOS in exchange for extending their contract or something.@sub_thug How come X-Ray Program soldiers get reclassed into something other than infantry if they wash out of SFAS or the Q when they've already done the infantry OSUT?
Just a thread I was looking at on Reddit. Some guy in the DEP who thinks his recruiter is bs'ing him and everyone's telling him to just enlist as 11X and then try out in like a year. 11B is balanced right now so anyone who quits gets reclassed. They become 11B's, or so I thought. I guess it's technically possible that they go to "needs of the Army," becoming a different MOS, but I've never heard of the Army being over strength on 11B's. I'm not really in a position to comment if they are or not though. You'd need to speak to someone at HQDA/FORSCOM G-1.
That's weird. Went I went through SFAS, all the guys who were 18X's that failed and came back were there as 11B's. I don't spend a lot of time around 18X's these days, so I couldn't tell you what the policy is now. Someone at 1st Specialist Forces Command or SWCS could probably give you a better answer than I could. For us, they all became 11B's. I tend to think that spending a bunch of money to reclass a bunch of dudes on their initial contract sounds like bullshit, so I don't really believe this guy from Reddit. In today's military, budget cuts are everywhere, so you have to think about how to minimize costs. Things that don't aren't really passing my sniff test.Just a thread I was looking at on Reddit.
