Military Roll Call! Veterans, GTFIH!

What about the Warriors Club? I remember the double cheeseburger and fries meal was great after a few days out in the field. Oh and the Michelob AmberBock Dark Lager beers were awesome.

If you can't parlay your leadership experience into some kind of supervisory or mid level management role in short order, that is on you as a person.

There is much truth in this.

If I remember right you could drink when I was there in 2007. You were out there for like a month or 2 months. It was almost like a sports bar from what I remember.

I think it was called the Warrior's Club when I went through. We couldn't drink but the pizza was actually pretty good and they had a Time Crisis 2 arcade cabinet. The laundry facility had a WWF arcade game.

The other arcade games I remember there were Capcom vs Marvel 2 also at the Warriors club. And at the laundry facility there was House of the Dead and Hydro Thunder. This was back in 1999-2000. I remember guys spending $30 a night on arcade games. Thats just how shitty CAX was overall.

US.S. Air Force, 3P051 (Security Forces), E4/ Senior Airman at time of discharge. If those of you aspiring to join the air force decide to do it, don't go security forces or open general.

Anyone stationed in Korea for the latter half of the 2000s? I was at Osan May 06-July 08 and Kunsan July08-Jan '10

Osan? Back in 2003 I was there for a 48 hour liberty trip. It was freakin insane!! I was only 30 meters outside the front gate and already I am getting propositioned by a Korean prostitute (she looked 30ish decent body). I declined.

The clubs were fun as hell shops for custom made clothes were everywhere. I went to one strip club that was damn good. And there was just as many Air Force girls there as there were guys. I'll never forget the cherry soju that night. I got super hammered.

Yeah, Osan was fun. When I got there in 06 the Korean girls were almost wiped out from the bars, almost all Filipinas. I spent entirely too much time down there before I ventured out and discovered Suwon and Seoul.

CAX 9-10 (July 1999)
CAX 3-4 (February 2000)

Yep, during those times there were guys getting shit-faced almost every night. Mostly with no problems. The only problem was the guys tossing there laundry in the dryers at the laundry mat and going one building over to get hammered at the Warriors club. Then going back to the laundry mat and not really remembering which dryer they put their clothes in. So they'd mistakenly grab some other marine's laundry and walk off. Aaahh good times.

Suwon? alright I'll have to remember that. I'm getting stationed in Daegue this September for a year.

Yeah I heard patrons aren't allowed to buy drink for "juicy" girls in those bars anymore. I wonder how they will stay open than.

Sounds familiar. Camp Casey here in 2004. For only six months, though, before we were sent to Ramadi to languish.

Most will close, or get rid of the girls if they're in areas that cater mostly to the military.

If you're in Daegu, then you're already in one of Korea's biggest cities, and only maybe a 45min- one hour train ride from Busan, Korea's second largest city. Suwon is near Seoul, so if you have a weekend free and are heading that way, just go to Seoul

Is the Richmond or The Virginian still going strong in 29 Palms?
pretty decently so, yes. it's still there, and has a different crowd from the Break n Run or Back Alley.

I bought Daryl from Walking Dead a drink in the Virginian a few months back, he was in town filming something. chill ass dude

Yeah and it's all done there at Wilson now, right? I think we were one of the last units to do the secondary stuff at March AFB and y'all have that fancy schmancy MOUT town now.
yes, either all at Wilson, or i think some people go to Yuma for a part of it for some reason. but i haven't heard of anybody going to March, or any of the SD bases

That was the single greatest dive bar I've ever been to. It was even better than the Rusty Spur in Oceanside. The carpet was literally rotting and stuck to the bottom of your shoes as you walked.

That guy just seems like a cool dude.

Not at my base. Here they just check ids at the gate for 12+ hours. You did nothing cool?

Where are you stationed? Not few stateside bases have SF on the gates anymore.

Do anything cool work wise? Not really. Got qualified on the mk19, went TDY with a couple of U2 spy planes, but nothing special.

Feeling old going through this thread. US Army Recon Sniper 1989 - 1992. Operation Just Cause and then Desert Storm back to back. I went from 100 degrees with 100% humidity in Panama to 110 degrees with no humidity in Saudi/Iraq. Fun times.

the bases in Germany I was on used German PONDS guards, and all the army bases and USMC bases I've been on recently use civilian Base Police, coupled w/ some AD SM's fapped to the gate....

also, stickers are no longer issued in most places, just an ID check. 29 Palms stopped issuing stickers last month

Colonel's wives everywhere are pissed about all those salutes they won't be getting anymore....

man, I used to drive 20 mins to rammstein, and just instantly feel sorry for every Soldier/Marine I knew. The quality of life difference is astounding.

FFS they call them 'Dorms' not Barracks
My brother still giggles like a schoolgirl when he compares his palatial airforce dorm to my shitty barracks room. Fuck face.
