Health midlife crisis

If I've driven Porsches and listened to techno for 25+ years do I have to find new mid-life crisis tropes?
What do you do for a midlife crisis if you've already been driving sportscars and dating younger women for many years?

Yes, basically that... that's just what I'm into.

Or will I go some hippie, yoga, spirituality route.

Well, yoga is great for meeting younger women so... two birds with one stone?

I always joked that you would know that I was having a midlife crisis, wen I bought a soccer mom car... then I bought a Cayenne... shit <lmao>

I think a midlife crisis happens to people who've never truly lived, or loved, or followed their dreams. They suddenly realize that shit, I'm starting to get old, and I haven't really done anything I can be proud of yet. That's when the crisis kicks in.

If you've lived your life well and generally happy with where you are in your journey, you'll be fine. Stay healthy, keep your brain working, follow the path where it takes you.

Damn bro you went straight for my feels. I can kind of relate. Wasted a lot of my youth on video games, education and pursuing a career that i thought would fulfill me. In the end I'm still at square one.

Wished I took school a lot less serious and life in general.

When is it kicking in? Should i expect it spoon? Or is it a myth?

I turn 47 in january.

What is your thought on the midlife crisis people talk about?

You born in 79? I was born 78, I don't believe in the midlife crisis. It's all based on perception. Change your mind, you change the world.

People laugh at midlife crises, like its a joke - they picture men wearing toupees, buying sports cars etc.

In the years between 2021 - 2023, I saw a former close friend have the worst midlife crisis I've seen and it was no laughing matter - he destroyed the lives of 3 people (himself, his child and his partner) and lost every single close, old friend he had. None of us have even sent him a message since the end of 2022, let alone seen him.

Gonna be 47 in December.
Finding my stride better than I did in my 20 & 30s.
Still stressed at times & all of that, but not as worried about money/security; know who I am & what has value, & my own limitiations; more clarity of where I'd like to be as I ease down the back 9.

Shit. Thats probably the worst case scenario version

Well.. I 100% believe having enough money to live a stabile life, is better then both being poor and rich.

I might be wrong. I get that. But i probably wont try the other two in my lifetime
I can say with certainty that being poor sucks worse than being stable lol
