Health midlife crisis

When you're contemplating between a retired old man's bike (titanium) over a performance carbon fiber bike. @Videer @therealdope

Just get both like I did, it's worth it.

Midlife crisis is only for rich people.
This.

Each decade I kind of just keep plugging along.

I don't have a particular urge to buy something I can't afford, date someone I have nothing in common with, or do something outrageous.

I wake up, workout, get the kids out the door, and go to work.

I drink less, notice I sleep less, go for walks more, and appreciate nature much more

I heard you should put it off until you're 50, that way you'll live to be 100

Hahaha ouch

But i did techno way before it was cool.

Doesnt that count in my favor?
Don't listen to him. You literally do not have to grow out of things that do no harm to anyone, that's a myth that has been perpetuated to make people fall in line since at least the Bible. If you're getting old and still wanna techno, then rave all night, bud

When is it kicking in? Should i expect it spoon? Or is it a myth?

I turn 47 in january.

What is your thought on the midlife crisis people talk about?

- You start taking trt. But 100 per week isnt enought. You up to 300, wake up with raging boners like you're in your teens. But your wife cant be bothered to help you, so you take longer showers. Also you use baseball caps of the same collor of your board shorts and slipers, but you never get bothered enought to use belts the same collors of your shoes.

Just depends on the person. You seem to be achieving what you want in life, so you might skip all that. Seems it comes from feeling empty because you didn’t do what you wanted in life. Mine personally started two years ago, but it’s pretty much worked itself out already. Hopefully it never touches you personally

Im not sure if what im doing is defined as a mid life crisis. I was married 20 years and it ended a few years back. exs choice not mine. So I was thrown into a different life. Instead of being depressed, though there was a time of that, I decided to embrace it.

For me embracing it means dating women way younger and basically doing what I want when I want. Im 47 and have dated women ranging from early 20s to mid 30s, plus some older women too. I shoot that ball. Miss a lot but to my surprise alot go in

Going to the New York ufc with my kids and have great seats. Just did the last vegas ufc with my son. had 4th row broncos tickets with my current women and doing a mountain vacation with her in a few weeks.

I travel a lot and just in general enjoy my new life.
I have a lot of fun. Threw myself into work and am making more money than I ever thought I would, sales commission and determination equal a shit ton of disposable income.

Currently seeing a beautiful, interesting women. will it last, I have no idea. But after being married for 20 years and with the same women for 24, new women is such a fun thing. Not just the sex, which obviously is a huge highlight, but just knowing new women in a way my married self couldn't is such a rush

Is this a mid life crisis? Maybe

I've got a single friend who owns an aston martin
I'm not quite that level. He says start with a newish corvette for around 60-70k. Maybe in the next few years. Stereotypical mid life crisis behavior

I just had toasted bagels and cream cheese, popcorn with extra butter, and an ice cold coke and a few shots, well maybe 4 shots, of some expensive whiskey I got at Costco, for dinner. While watching black rabbit and texting the women I'm seeing, all in bed
Mid life crisis? Probably

I'm 45 and my wife is pregnant, does that count?
When your kid is in high school you will be older than some of his friends grandparents. Nothing wrong with that. I was just dating a girl and I was older than her parents. Yikes

the only thing that’s kind of bugging me almost midlife is not having any kids and the wife isn’t getting any younger, we love kids and kids love us (Nieces and nephews) but we have a lot of hobbies and love the freedom obviously, I want kids but I don’t and the thought is lingering a lot more lately, I’m sure this is a feeling among many.

Titanium will last forever if the welds hold. Generally, it has a smoother ride due to the flexibility of the material but it can be made stiff by the geometry and tubing size. Carbon can be made soft too but is much more fragile than titanium. I find carbon fiber is often made way too stiff when you could get a soft ride with lateral stiffness. Like what is the fucking point if you are doing that other than to shave off a little weight. I think the only thing though that I would stay away from is aluminum if it is old. Aluminum breaks without warning and is usually very stiff due to beer can sized tubing. .

Started about 48 and ended at 51.

Said fuck it - buy a sailboat, sell everything, and go roam around the world while taking our kid on adventures.
